We had booked the 21 with Booking, but we had to cancel it because the wife was sick. We knew the cancellation was not refundable. We have nevertheless tried our chance not to pay the night by writing to the hotel to explain why we could not present ourselves and we have also written to Booking. We were free from any charge and are grateful for this hotel. The receptionist was very welcome, and the young man who brought us to our room was bad. He didn't want to know anything about us and clearly demonstrated it. We had a deal to have a room on the second floor and we were on the first in a room that was not suitable for us at all. The room was beautiful at first sight, but there was a hairdryer and fungi at the bathroom level in the shower and laundry and the bathroom. We had a great balcony. The tranquility was at the meeting and we had very good sleep. Breakfast was service from 7:00 to 10:00 and was passable. We have already seen better. It often lacked food in the dishes. We had to do foot and hands to get two towels in the pool yesterday night, which was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. We have some photos to share. There is a small swimming pool suitable for children, a little expensive. Because breakfast is not included and the room that stays really calls pool access. Accommodation near tourist attractions, close to the airport, can arrive late at night, has a receptionist, cheap, reasonable price, very large bathroom. The disadvantage encountered was booking 2 rooms but not getting adjacent rooms. But it is a recommended room.

Have stayed here many times over the last 3 years. The rooms are well maintained, very clean with towels changed every day. Breakfast has 3 main choices with 3 or 4 side dishes. The staff are extremely attentive and helpful. Parking very good and food within a short walk.

It takes about 10 minutes by motorbike from Ubon Ratchathani station to arrive at the hotel. It faces a large street and the signboard is so big that you will never miss it. They kept my luggage for early check-in, chartered a driver, and did various things. The hotel itself was a little strange with lots of replicas of masterpieces. The room is simple but clean. Amenity is soap only. There is a shop in front of the front desk where you can buy snacks, cola, and cup noodles. There was a 7-Eleven at about 300 meters, and a cafe at about 150 meters where you can eat breakfast such as toast. The next door seemed to be a dining room, but it is unknown what kind of shop it is. To be honest, there are not many shops around. Food stalls may appear at night, so you may want to explore a little for dinner.

The hotel is a bit dated, carpets in halls looking shabby. The room was large and had adequate lighting and controls, comfortable mattress, bedding clean. Large window with drapery and sheer, window stained and dirty, mostly outside. Bench type cushions were ingrained with stains, both sides. Small LED TV for room size, no guide or instructions found. There was a safe in the closet, worked fine. Large bathroom with ventilation, good towels, hot/cold water from sink faucet. There is a large swimming pool and spa on the 5th floor level. Pool loungers and table and chairs area. Large comfortable towels you sign for before entering the pool area, free for hotel guests. Changing area with private showers, hair dryers, lockers. Large fitness room. Massage area, with skillful attendants, prices reasonable. Sunee Grand is still a top choice with reasonable rates. They also have a large conference and meeting rooms, fully equipped. I attended a conference there a few years ago, as good as anyplace, anywhere.

I chose a niche route, took the train from Dacheng to Ubon Ratchathani, and wanted to cross the border from Ubon Ratchathani to Laos Pak. At the train station, the taxis to the hotel are less than 90 pigs. The hotel occupies a small area but is not a high-rise building. The layout of the plane is more distinctive. The reception at the front desk will speak English. Asking questions about the international bus will help you to make a phone call and be very patient. The room has been decorated for some years, the facilities look old, but very clean, presumably the management here is still very good. The air-conditioned room in the room is not air-conditioned at 36 degrees. Most of the guests here are Thais driving by car, and the parking spaces are sufficient. Very quiet at night, good rest. The breakfast buffet is very Thai. There are rice noodles, chicken porridge and fried rice. The Western-style part is the toasted egg ham sausage butter jam, the fruit coffee tea is also provided, the service is also thoughtful, and the overall feeling is worth the money. The hotel is on the right side of the street and turns left. There is a double car to the BUS station. The fare is 10 pigs. The place we eat is also about 50 meters ahead of this street. There are many restaurants in the local area. The price is fair and reasonable.

We know Ubon well and would always recommend Excella. We stayed there in June 2022 over 2 separate occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. The breakfast is good (for a Thai hotel) and did have some variety in the small eating area at the front of the hotel. We loved the suite and family room (booked 2 separate rooms) and it provided everything we needed. Good access to free parking out the back makes this a convenient place to stay in Ubon. You should be aware, however, that is in a residential area to the north of the city (and not in the city centre).

What a pleasant surprise to find such clean and comfortable accomodation combined with delightful staff in a budget hotel. I was genuinely blown after so many disappointments in erstwhile luxury properties at more than double this daily rate. It was the location which had 1st attracted my wife last year, as it suited her needs when flying in on business. Based on this we booked 3 nights. The property quiet due to the one block set back from major roads yet it's easy to access from all major cbd locations by car or taxi. Staff are young, attractive, very polite and ever so helpful. And that includes the housekeeping staff too... 5 star service! The rooms are modern, clean and suitably appointed for the class of hotel but what really stands out is the sleep quality. The mattress so soft and comfortable I slept better than in my own home. Many thanks to Erawan/Hop Inn properties for an enjoyable stay and we shall be seeing you again.
