Faultless family Sunday lunch at this beautiful historic hotel. From the initial welcome and pre lunch drinks in the comfortable drawing room by a roaring fire, to seamless service and wonderful views - everything was perfection. The food - especially the roast beef - was amazing and every course was outstanding. A really special experience and we have already booked to return.

I've eaten here on several occasions, latterly dropping in for an afternoon tae with some business colleagues. "Is this an old peoples' home?" asked my head of direct mail, quite seriously, thinking that we'd made a mistake. I once asked for a vodka martini - i got a shot of pure vermouth mixed in a tumbler witha shot of vodka, an ice cube and slice of lemon. Professional its not! Management is very snotty - lurch from the munsters comes to mind when dealing with the hotel manager. It's a beautiful building, run by the most unwelcoming bunch imaginable. Go only if you're impressed by flowery language and inept service. "would you care to peruse the menu?" "indulge in a bread roll" you couldn't script it!

My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Priory. On arrival we were shown to the lounge where we had pre-dinner drinks with tempting canapes. The restaurant had a relaxed ambience & the meal was delicious. Our tea & petit fours were served afterwards in the lounge at our request. We were impressed by all the staff who were attentive & friendly & we look forward to returning very soon.

Our first time visiting for dinner. The food, atmosphere and importantly the service was outstanding. Made to feel very welcome, and valued, special mention must go to Cris, Indre and Lucinda for looking after us throughout the evening. Can’t wait to go back.

I had lunch yesterday for my birthday and as always it is such a treat to visit and dine at your wonderful establishment! I have had the pleasure of staying and dining with you a few times & always enjoyed the service from Zoltan and Gille they were such a double act! For the first time I met Christian yesterday and what a fantastic ambassador for your brand! He couldn’t have been more friendly, attentive and professional! Will most certainly be back again soon and thank you for making my big day very special! Best Wishes, Matthew

Had a lovely lunch in the garden restaurant. I haven’t been for years and realised I need to go more often!! Beautifully presented, delicious food. We had non alcoholic cocktails in the lounge before lunch, in front of the open fire. Great service from all of the staff, attentive but not intrusive. Our waitress, Ingrid, was very good. We have a lovely warm welcome from Christian, as well. If you haven’t been, go, you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful lunch celebrating a special birthday - in a beautiful setting. all the staff were very attentive- special thanks to AJ, Cris and Margo who made us feel so welcome and were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing - we had poached duck egg starter, seafood linguine, scallops and brûlée - all delicious compliment's to the chef. A gem in Wareham

Visited midweek for lunch in January. Staff very welcoming especially 2 waiters in restaurant. Limited choice on menu and only one vegetarian main . Food quality was ok . However main concern was restaurant temperature was cold when “under floor “ heating was turned on it took about an hour to warm up to a comfortable level. Great venue , for warm days . Food ok , value for money questionable. Limited menu choice & n o choice for vegetarians
