"My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated.
If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep.
Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort."
"I had a wonderful stay there, will definitely go back if I visit the town again.
Very nice and warm welcome hospitality. During the check-in proactively provide useful information for the guests. Parking just right in front of the unit, very convenient. Only a few mins drive to supermarket and the famous tree in town!
Very clean and tidy of the unit, with well equipped l
Kitchen facilities. Like the shower with very hot water for winter. The hot spa at the top of the road near reception would be good to try when there is still day light, coz a bit too dark and cold at night unless having a few people going together chit chatting and watching stars? That could be a bit romantic too?"
"If you are not able to arrive at check-in time, you must contact us to receive instructions on how to get the key.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the bathroom and shower were clean.
There was a family shower room, but there were no instructions on how to use it, so I couldn't use it. I could see pretty stars at night, and at night
I was able to rest comfortably because it was quiet. Parking was convenient because I could park right in front of the room."
"Very good. The location is also great. Lake Wanaka and the supermarket are within 10 minutes away. The owner is very nice and the hotel is very considerate. They used towels to cover our car windows at night to prevent ice. It was really considerate. The house also has everything you need. It is clean and tidy. I am really satisfied! When I opened the door in the morning, only the kitten came in and didn't leave to eat my burger. It was so interesting."
"The room was clean and well equipped.
Parking is very convenient and it’s great not to have to pay😀
We stored a lot of luggage and the landlord helped us move it all the time. Thank you very much.
If you have any questions, the landlord will respond quickly👍"
"It was unexpected. The balcony directly overlooks the snow-capped mountains and Lake Wanaka. It is very convenient. You can cook and wash clothes. When you look up from the kitchen, you can see the snow-capped mountains. It is so beautiful."
"Ctrip did not give my email to the store, so I did not receive the check-in guide. I consulted other guests before I knew that the key needed to be picked up at another store at the entrance of the town. At that time, the road at the entrance of the peak was basically impassable. Finally, I walked back and forth for half an hour to get the key."
"270-degree viewing terrace, large living room, fully equipped kitchen (with two dishwashers), separate laundry room, super convenient. There are 2-3 supermarkets 200-300 meters away, and Four Square can meet all our needs. There are Chinese and Asian restaurants next to it, and 100-200 meters away is the commercial center, where you can eat and shop. Across the road is the lake, with a children's playground and cycling and walking trails. The intercity bus stops at the square next to the children's playground (next to the toilet). The location is unique. The staff is very good and enthusiastic. All our needs can be met, very nice. I will definitely stay there again in the future (Wanaka is not my favorite place in New Zealand, but this hotel is my favorite one in New Zealand, no doubt about it.)"
"I am truly very grateful to the owner for providing a room that exceeded our expectations, and both my friends and I really enjoyed it. As soon as I stepped inside, I saw the most beautiful scenery outside the balcony. The room is very spacious and clean and comfortable. This is the best check-in experience!"

Great
HhyykkkFacilities: The kitchen tools are complete, and there is a hot pot barbecue two-in-one pot. Eat hot pot one day and eat barbecue one day, which is beautiful.
Hygiene: Not bad, clean and comfortable.
Service: The uncle who checked in was very good, probably took a road.
Environment: Lake Wanaka is in front of the hotel. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the commercial street. It is all eaten. It is also close to the local supermarket NEW WORLD. It takes about 25 minutes to walk along the lake to the lonely tree.
HHou InThe hotel notified us via email in advance that there would be no staff on duty on the day of check-in, and informed us how to check in via email. The room is large, has a kitchen, and you can park at the door. However, it is a bit far from the center of the town, so we drove. There are many places to park in the town and by the lake.
CChalitaWe love the location , only 3 minutes walk to the supermarket. Cooking appliances are more than enough for many users. We booked room for 3 and has own bathroom. The Bunk bed is comfortable,I love the upper bed that has a height ceiling where you can sit with out knocking and the bed curtain is noise proved.
AAnonymous UserThe room is on the second floor, there is no stove, only microwave and refrigerator, plates, forks and knives, etc. The space is not big, but it is a 3-5 minute walk from restaurants and supermarkets, and 5 minutes from Lake Wanaka. I recommend the lakeside Chinese restaurant, the Chinese taste is very good. The lonely tree has been exposed because of the drop in the water level, and there are always many people around there.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel enjoys a prime central location, just a 1-2 minute walk from the tourist bus stop and information center. Lakeview rooms on the 2nd floors feature private enclosed balconies. Even non-lake view rooms offer great value, with the lakeshore directly accessible from the property. The exceptionally friendly front desk staff often accommodates early check-in and room upgrades—during our three-day stay (due to booking constraints requiring three different room types), we were consistently upgraded to the most premium option: a second-floor lakeview room. They even assisted with pre-dawn arrangements for our Roy’s Peak hike. Highly recommended!
GGuest User1. Location: Brownstone Street is a street that separates the residential area and commercial area of Wanaka. Wanaka itself is not big, and it is not far from Wanaka Lake. The hotel is very close to New World, and it is not far from anywhere.
2. Facilities: This is a hostel, but the layout is not good. The kitchen is downstairs, and it is very inconvenient to climb up and down. There is only one hook in the shower room, and there is no place to put clothes. The bed is open, without any privacy, but it is ventilated, haha, suitable for acquaintances to live together. But many people who live in this kind of hostel live with strangers, which is a bit embarrassing. The curtains on the windows of the room do not block light, and I was woken up by the light early in the morning. This is very bad, not very attentive! The kitchen equipment is very simple, the kitchen stove needs a lighter to light, the layout design is too poor, the appearance is not good, it is not convenient to use, and things are scattered.
3. Hygiene: The kitchen hygiene needs to be complained, it is dirty and messy
4. Service: Full marks💯The front desk is very nice, can small talk, and the service experience is full marks! ! !
CChau tei teiVery convenient location with efficient check in.
Kitchen well equipped .washing machine included is out of expectation. 2 bathrooms in family room also
Give much convenience to us.
Good facility suitable for family and group of 4-5
People.
FfslimaiThe hotel is very close to the town. After checking in, I walked 5 kilometers according to other people's guides. I couldn't find the observation deck to see the glacier. I couldn't find the trace of the snowy mountains. Think about it maybe because of spring!
AAnonymous UserThe accommodation has 2 floors, no elevator, quite inconvenient if you have heavy luggage. But the overall room is very good, big room, comfortable bed, next to the supermarket, very convenient, walk to the lake less than 5 minutes. We arrived before check-in time, but the caretaker was kind enough to let us check in early without any charge. The accommodation has parking, free parking.
GGuest UserVery good, worth recommending. The hotel is also very new, with good facilities. You can cook your own food. It is a hotel worth recommending. . . . . .
