This is a wonderful camp , great location. Beside the beautiful lake Wanaka. The facilities are very good. Nice hot showers and great kitchen and dinning on a deck looking across the mountains and the lake.. This is a traditional Kiwi camp. If you want all the home comforts, book into motel and pay 10 times the price

Traveled with Partner and our 2 year old for 6 nights in Jan 2025, We have stayed at at least 60 campsites in NZ over the last 10 years, and this one is right up there. I would ignore any feedback regarding the owners or facilities. Our experience was only good and if you find them to have different views to you I would just go with it and enjoy your holiday we are all different! The location and views and established tree lined pitches are what you are paying for, we stayed in the Patiki side of the camp, the Kanuka's that line the pitches are so nice to camp around and they offer patches of shade at various parts of the day so you can put the tent up in just the right spot. Regarding the facilities, I see a few reviews about things being basic... I suggest these people stay in a hotel in town for 350$+++ a night, as far as camping goes, facilities are all adequate and clean unsure what else people expect when camping. Bins emptied frequently, water is even potable right out of the tap (and these are plentiful) We wanted to stay an extra night, no issue and camp office handled it all quickly with a smile. If you want to be in a great location, on the lake, with access to great cycling and walking I would struggle to understand anyone who wouldn't want to stay here! We like to try new places so may not be back next year but will absolutely stay here again no questions asked!!

First time back in 10 years. Excellent camping ground - sites are quiet and rustic, facilities are basic but perfectly good. Proximity to the river and lake are fabulous and the natural setting makes it feel like you are camping in the middle of nowhere by yourself. Five stars.

Absolutely awesome place to camp immaculate facilities awesome staff beautiful setting divine heaps of native plants being planted great facilities plenty of rubbish bins seems it is always booked and I can see why. We were allocated a great spot by a lovely girl but when we got there they were planting but hey no problem come to this site. Will be back. Do not miss this place if you are in Wānaka. Thank you team for the most amazing stay!!

My first review was a bit harsh. I called the business opinionated. Ill leave it to others to judge their website and welcome messages. I apologise for upsetting the owner by considering the price increase as greedy. As i wrote a honest review calling the camp pricey and i stand by those comments. The owner confronted me about my first review and at the end of a uncomfortable chat asked me to leave ASAP. Im not sure its a great business model to kick out everyone who may have a different view. All a bit eccentric.

Nestled on the Clutha River this holiday park was great. Stay up in the lookout parking level as the vista is fantastic. Secluded and quiet but with all the facilities. Walking track along the river. Stunning sunrise. Just remember the ‘token’ to use the showers is NZ$1 so don’t forget it or it’s a cold walk of shame back to the RV. Staff we’re really helpful.

Great place to base yourself to enjoy all that the area offers although quite a distance from the main Wanaka area. Camp managers very unprofessional if there are any problems and unable to cope with any criticism. For this reason I’d not stay there again.

Great quiet spot and spectacular view of the sunset by the lake. Unfortunately the hot showers have a time limit of 5 mins and need to pay $1 to activate in the box outside the shower stall, not really convenient. No hot water dispenser available, though the kitchen is clean and spacious.
