Lovely stay. Fantastic value. Breakfast exceptional. Staff helpful and friendly. Don't be put off by the outside as the inside was bright and clean. Have stayed before and will definitely stay again. Big private car park. On local bus route. Lift wasn't working and had quite a walk to our room, so check if it's something you will need. Lovely large bedroom decorated in nice colours. Lots of plugs. Wasn't a hair dryer but had taken one with me. Very comfortable king-size bed. Adequate hospitality tray. All in all, fab.

24th Sept - 27th Sept ( 3 nights) Booked this hotel as I needed it for the week, and very glad I did! * Please give a special thank you/praise to Courtney on Reception, and Bars Manager, Brad, for all the wonderful time and welcoming atmosphere I received during my stay! * First off the hotel is clean, very presentable ( even with structure renovations going on) and very welcoming. The front desk is where you get the sense of warmth and friendliness from the get go. The young lady Courtney was extremely welcoming. Always had a huge smile on her face, asks how the journey and how the day went. I had a room on the 4th floor and sadly the key card didn't register with the electronic lock on the door. Went back to reception where Courtney asked if my room was clean, and well presented. I did mention that, I'm sure it is, but I cant seem to access my room. My key card was reset and off I went again to check the room, sadly again, no access. Went back down and asked if I was being stupid due to the long drive or the card wasn't working. Thankfully for me, the card wasn't working and got issued a new one, another colleague on the front desk, offered to come with me, who made sure I was able to enter my room. Very grateful, very much appreciated. The restaurant on site is a Brewers Fayre. The atmosphere is very inviting, warm and had autumn decorations up which was a lovely touch. I had a few issues booking my meal deal, but Brad ( Bars Manager ) along with Mel ( Bar Maid/Assistant ) where very helpful and explained how I could add this onto my room. There are local ammonites and dinning around the area, but the staff made me feel more welcoming. Plus the food is nice, tasty and very well priced for the portion size. The bar and restaurant had their busy moments but the staff always made an effort to come speak to you, even to see how your stay or week is going. The waiter/bars assistant, Ashley, always made the effort to ask how you are, answer any questions you may have about the local area. Mel ( Bars Maid/Assistant ) was the same, made the effort to engage in conversation. I'm due to work back up here in Birmingham/Wolverhampton in a few or more weeks time, I'll book this hotel again, even if it out of my way, the staff all round just made my stay that much more pleasant and entertaining!

Excellent hotel facilities and friendly staff. Downside was uncomfortable bed settee for our 12 year old son, hard pillows, windows you couldn’t open fully and automated check in system.
