We stayed in that hotel for a weekend to visit a concert in Salzburg and it was the ideal place to reach the city of Salzburg as well as the airport but one should have a car to go there. To reach the hotel by taxi costs about Euro 15. The hotel is located in a countryside village called Wals, about 7 kms from the city centre. It is a good place if somebody does not want to stay downtown. Once we made a walk to the farms that are around the place. Our children enjoyed that a lot although in our room one could hear the cows and cocks quite early. The hotel is family run and the atmosphere is quite familiar. They offer a very good breakfast and the price for the room was very much o.k. Parking was free as well as the sauna area although we had no time to use it. In a weekend there is too much to see in Salzburg!Next time we will take more time for the Salzburg area and stay in Koniggut again.

One of this hotel’s best features is its location. It is a ten-minute drive from Salzburg Airport, and another ten minutes will take you right into the heart of Salzburg. The hotel staff are friendly. We arrived while they were in the process of clearing away breakfast, but at this was near noon, and we had obviously been travelling we were invited to come and have in improvised lunch at no charge. Now that is hospitality! We had booked a junior suite and that was certainly worth it! The room was spacious and came with excellent beds and a place to sit in comfort with a couch, table and two chairs. Also there was an place where you might write, or work (if you’re on a business trip). Last but not least there was a spacious terrace outside. Everything spotlessly clean!. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a visit to Salzburg. And by all means do visit Salzburg. It is a beautiful city!

Hotel was quiet and charming, we got the corner room which meant it was big, with its own sofa sitting area as well. Room had a large balcony as well, which is great to appreciate the fresh cool air. Had all the amenities we needed, towels and water. Wifi was fast and reliable as well. Breakfast room variety was small, but loved the home-cooked feel of the food. Eggs were freshly cooked to your desire style at the counter and the young girl who made my eggs confirmed that the marmalades were home-made. Wished I could bottle back their marmalade. Wanted to try the gym but somehow our card was denied access, however, looking from the outside the gym was fairly large sized for an establishment of this size.

Why did we choose this hotel? Simply because we visited Salzburg and decided to have an overnight at the outskirts of Salzburg and we did not regret this hotel. The hotel is clean, the rooms are large and comfartable and breakfast was nice..

This family run hotel is about 20 minutes drive away from Salzburg city center. Room is big and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has wide varieties and freshly cooked eggs in any style. Fast wifi. Beautiful mountain view can be seen from the hotel. Would recommend this hotel.

Hotel on the outskirts of Salzburg, we stopped for one night. The welcome is very pleasant and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Cleanliness and quality of service very appreciable. The restaurant is also very good and the cuisine is seasonal.

We were there from Saturday to Sunday, it was a dream. Everything was just right. I felt very comfortable. The staff were very attentive, very competent and very friendly. Our room was beautiful. The bed was a dream. I haven't slept so well in a long time. The absolute highlight: the breakfast!!! Everything your heart desires: cheese platter, vegetable spreads, rolls and pastries, cold cuts, yoghurt, muesli, coffee station, tea station, drinks station, egg station, a highlight: egg dish, fried eggs, omelette, sweets, really EVERYTHING!!! I'd love to come back!!!

Hotel rooms were a bit outdated and there was no air conditioning, we noticed this when we got there. service was friendly and helpful. Dinner was very limited, not hot and way too salty. So not exactly a top hotel.

The organization of the group registration was flawless. The friendliest welcome from the ladies at reception, followed immediately by a nice welcome from the hotel owner. Excellent service every day, especially the great selection of the gala dinner on New Year's Eve. I have stayed in hotels for many years, but this hotel is a positive exception in terms of quality. The rooms are modern and in excellent condition. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. My group was simply delighted by the friendliness of the staff. Our special thanks also go to the hotel management, who always supplemented our program on site with good advice. 100% recommendation, we will be back too.
