The room facilities are very complete, refrigerator, microwave oven, toothbrush, comb, these disposable items are also equipped. The check-in procedure is simple and fast. When you check out, you can insert the room card into the machine. It is very convenient to leave the store and strive for the time of the road. When you check in, you can choose five snacks per room, and each person can choose two drinks from the machine.
Candeo is right on Wakayama-Shi Train station, which makes it incredibly convenient. Sound-proofing ensures perfect sleep and no disturbance from trains or traffic etc. The staff accepted early check-in at 2pm and were incredibly courteous, professional, English-speaking and kind. Really excellent.
Some large Japanese hotel chains are not entirely geared to the ”international market” and the attitude to non-Japanese guests can be less than ideal.
NOT CANDEO. The staff are comfortable with an international clientele, cheerful and welcoming. How wonderful!
The entire hotel is extremely clean and well-run. Everything says ”professional”. The flower arrangements on each floor are REAL. Flowers are extremely expensive in Japan.
The view from the reception area (Floor 11) is fantastic. The spa (Floor 12) is open air, with a great view and a magical feel.
I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope to return to Candeo soon.

I spent two nights with my family during the Obon holiday.
There is good access by route bus from Wakayama City Station, and it is convenient to get off at Masagocho bus stop or Prefectural Office Main Gate.
There is a convenience store nearby, so the location is good.
The staff was very kind and courteous throughout my stay, and I felt very comfortable.
Not only the rooms but also every corner of the hotel is thoroughly cleaned, so you can spend your time in a clean environment.
One disappointing point is the aging of the air conditioning equipment. Even when set to MAX, the room temperature never dropped below 26℃.
They kindly accommodated my request for a room change, but they did not resolve the issue.
However, we were able to get through the tropical night by being lent a circulator.
Due to the air conditioning, the facility's rating is a little low, but if you change the season, I think it would be a perfect score.
I would like to use it again in the cooler months.

Breakfast is simple, but the quality is very good and it is very comfortable to eat. The room is super large and super comfortable, quiet around, very close to the station, the oversized bay window sill sits up to drink and see the night view, very comfortable
The front desk staff were very helpful!
It was crowded at breakfast, but they added more of the menu items that were out of stock, and we were able to get a seat and the food was delicious.

SsexybanglamanHotel is conveniently located on top of the train station and is connected to a mall. Love that they have free curry rice as well as a drink for those who stay with them. If you are parking, park at the rooftop and then walk over thru a connector which leads you to the conference/event halls. Thereafter, take the lift down to the lobby. If you don’t do this, you will have to do a bit of a walk around to reach the lobby. Parking is 1000yen per day but you have to have the ticket validated first at the lobby before you head out.
SSI YUE BONNYWe absolutely cannot contain our elation when recalling our recent stay at this remarkable hotel. From the moment we stepped into the elevator adorned with personalized name cards, my husband and I were enveloped in the warm embrace of hospitality. The attention to detail and the genuine kindness of the staff made us feel like VIP guests. They also thoughtfully provided a bucket for us to indulge in the glowing enchantment of firecrackers and even tidied the mess up afterwards.
But the best memory of our stay here was definitely the culinary experience given by the chef extraordinaire — Master Chef Matsuki. His creations were nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Each dish was a testament to his unwavering dedication and profound respect for the ingredients. Oh, the flavors — titillating all our taste buds in every bite. And the generosity of Chef Matsuki in sharing his culinary wisdom, guiding us on how to savor each morsel, elevated the entire dining experience to sheer perfection.
The language barrier was no obstacle to the remarkable team of staff members who graced us with their presence. Their command of the English language was commendable, and even those who were not entirely fluent went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and need. Their genuine desire to assist us was palpable, leaving us feeling truly valued and cared for.
I am already making plans to return with my beloved family, as I know they too deserve to bask in the unparalleled warmth and luxury that this establishment exudes. This hotel has set the bar impossibly high, redefining the meaning of hospitality and creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
So if you seek a hotel experience that transcends mere accommodation and transforms into a symphony of opulence, impeccable service, and culinary artistry, then look no further. This is the epitome of hospitality, a sanctuary where dreams come true, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who craves an unforgettable journey of indulgence and delight.
HHeLocation is very good and near JR station.
Complimentary breakfast is a plus. However, there is no Onsen or public bath. Bathroom is rather small.
Overall it’s good value for the money paid :)
GGuest UserThe overall environment and breakfast and dinner are all good. I booked a sea view room with a bathroom. When I booked, I mistakenly thought that the room had a private hot spring bath. I went there and found out that it was only a public one. It is beautiful near the sea, very quiet, and a pleasant holiday choice! From 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon, free drinks and ice cream are provided, which can be chosen. The Japanese bath robes at the front desk can be freely selected in patterns and colors, which are very beautiful for taking pictures.
MMK SanThe hotel is walking distance to Wakayama castle.
The rooms are clean because it’s a renovated hotel this year.
The morning breakfast buffet is amazing. A varieties of food are there. And also many kinds of drinks are there.
RRomanIt is a good spot for a solo traveler. Capsules are clean. Towels are provided. There is a small tea and coffee area at the entrance. They also have Chinese-standard plug in the capsule which was handy. Also, I likes the smell of wood.
The worst part is that if you come before check-in, nobody is in there, meaning you will have to stroll around and wait for 16:00.
GGuest UserVery cost-effective hotel. The room is very clean and tidy, and the hotel's service is also very good. If you arrive early, your luggage can be kept for you. The breakfast variety is rich and delicious for the price. It is very convenient to go to the city center with JR. I will stay here again when I go to Tokushima in the future.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a quiet environment and is suitable for self-driving tours. The rooms are comfortable and clean. When taking a shower, you have to boil the water and wait about 5 minutes for hot water. The hotel staff are very kind and they provide a welcome drink when you check in. The breakfast restaurant is on the fifth floor, the hot spring is on the third floor, there are massage chairs and coffee and tea buffets in the lounge on the second floor, and there is a souvenir shop in the lobby.
GGuest UserThe double room I booked was so small that I suspected I was given the wrong room, but the toiletries were double, which meant it was this big. It's close to the station, the breakfast was ok, and the service was OK!
GGuest User#Praise#For mosquito control measures, hotel smell, bedding comfort, location, toiletries, room lighting satisfaction; I like this hotel so much! It is also an ideal hotel! The so-called ideal is that every aspect is very practical! Although there is no breakfast, there is a refrigerator microwave in the room. It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. Lightning avoidance and mentioning that this store has no elevator, large boxes of passengers should be cautious.
