Been meaning to stay for years as rest of family have many times. Loved it, BUT....... security needs updating. Maybe they are doing that as toilet security door was missing and so was front access barrier! Had some very suspect people using toilet and shower facilities this morning. Definitely didn't look like guest and didn't have caravan or tent. By the look of the face tattoos looked like and behaved like gang members. Without security gates or doors they will just come in. Also some people had a lot of food- meat stolen from fridge. Sad. :( ALL THAT SAID- it's still a lovely camp. Facilities are clean, and good location next to hot pools and good sites with reasonable privacy on most sites. Would stay again.

We were there on Christmas Day. Check in took forever, we were told that we can only check in at 4pm. We paid for the full day access carpark at 25 NZD but the carpark was always full. Had to park at electric charging lots or even handicap lot and come on down to move the car where there’s available lot. Apart from that, we love the heated pool and enjoyed our stay there

Beautiful rooms overlooking the lake. Plenty of space and large balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Location was excellent just far enough out of town to be quiet but close enough to walk in along a walkway. Staff were extremely friendly. Room was clean with lovely quality bedding Dinner in the on site restaurant was really good and with a great view of the lake. Breakfast was fairly basic but sufficient and of a good quality. We would definitely stay again when in this area highly recommended

It is recommended to live in a lake-view room, which has a beautiful and natural environment and is suitable for family travel. The room is clean and hygienic, the facilities are complete, the service attitude is quite good, and will patiently explain the precautions. The hotel is equipped with parking spaces, so there is no need to worry about parking problems. All in all, a value-for-money experience.

It’s ok, but the only single-storey room is arranged. This is the second booking, because I was staying on the upper and lower floors before I felt good and I would continue to choose this one. After reacting with the store, I still wouldn’t change it. Happy

Very out dated facility in need of a lot of maintenance. To their credit the rooms are clean but paint was flaking off the walls. Features were very dated. The bathroom had been modernised but some of the fixtures were mounted in spots making the very hard to use. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. Simple things like pool furniture cushions are completely shredded and a simple replacement would look a lot better and more usable. Overall we feel there are better options to stay at. Maybe it is only certain rooms that need upgrading? There was a seniors tour group and a continuous tour group staying there also. So clearly tour companies are happy to put their clientele here

The hotel is located by the lake, parking is free and convenient. The landlord enthusiastically provided us with a lot of travel information. The only minor problem with the rooms around the pool is that there are a lot of bugs at night, so remember to close the windows if you turn on the lights!

Highly recommend these wonderful apartments right on the lake front close to all the best spots. Next door to our favourite breakfast spot (The Cove) and a stroll along the lakefront to 2 Mile Bay sailing Club. Beautiful views from our ground floor apartment which was so spacious and tastefully decorated. The spa in the room was so luxurious. Relaxing in the comfort of our own room whilst still able to catch a movie on the TV! No road noise. Lovely, welcoming, friendly management. Will definitely be back (with kids in tow next time). Superb!!

WOW!!! what a great place from the minute we got there we were greeted with great service especially the lady at reception she was so lovely and took the time with the kids was a great first impression, when we arrived to the apartment we were amazed at the lovely house with a view is was so nice and clean we had a massive kitchen and lounge which was great as we use that area the most and don’t get me started on the pool area it was so nice we had so much fun in there and it was the perfect temperature not to hot not to cold me and my family had such an amazing time and will definitely be staying again, from a teens point of view this is one of the best places to stay with the most amazing managers.

The motel is right next to Lake Taupo. The room has a double bed and a single bed. There is air-conditioning and electric blankets. It should be no problem in winter. It is suitable for families. There is also a round bathtub in the room. There are kayaks available for rent.
