Dark, gloomy, tired room with the hardest and most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Tiny shower. My aircon didn’t work but was fixed on second time of asking. The owner is clearly very unwell which is very sad but the constant coughing and smoking is really off putting. The staff seem very disinterested generally. I stayed as part of a group but would not recommend this hotel from choice.

A very tired hotel. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every conversation in the rooms above and next door. Unfortunately the elderly owner is not a well man and spends his evenings sitting at reception coughing terribly and clearing his chest every few minutes. He was there till 23:30 most night’s we stayed and I could t sleep at all till he left. A very unpleasant experience whilst trying to sleep when your room is next to reception. The breakfasts were good and the staff pleasant.

1. Even if they fixed the issues listed below (in no particular order) I would not come back here because of the incredibly noisy open air disco next door - not the hotel’s fault but still a factor. 2. The rooms are very basic - calling this a three star is pushing it. 3. The shower is tiny - enough room to stand up in, but that’s it. If you drop something, it stays dropped. 4. No shelf or trays in the shower - so nowhere to put soap, shampoo bottles. 5. Shower doesn’t drain properly and the drain cover floats away. 6. Hairdryer is one of those ancient yellowing wall hung dryers you see in public swimming pools - and on mine, the hose came away from the top bit of the dryer. 7. Old plug sockets. A number of my friends struggled to use more modern converters. 8. Room is gloomy - my ground floor room has no separate door or window other than the ones that look onto the path directly outside. They have wooden slatted external blinds which mean that the room is dark and gloomy. 9. The door to the room is a double door - the outer door is so stiff I can only open it to get out of the room (never mind into the room) with the key - I hope nobody ever has to get out in a hurry in a fire. 10. WiFi (which is free) is intermittent and weak in the room. 11. Breakfast is disappointing, in a country known for its food. 12. The building looks nice on the outside but the whole place is in need of a serious and significant refresh. The plus points: 1. The staff are friendly 2. The coffee in the morning is good (once the proper coffee machine is open after 8am - before that you have to make do with coffee from an automated machine). 3. It is a few minutes walk away from town. 4. The rooms have good air-conditioning - in fact the air con looks more modern than the rest of the hotel.

Place in a strategic position, 2 steps from the port and the center. Magnificent beach in front of the hotel, excellent breakfast and impeccable service thanks to Mrs. Cinzia and Mr. Arturo who try in every way to pamper customers and satisfy every need. PS: the smell of sulfur is practically not felt

I toured all of beautiful Sicily for a month, eating over 200 granitas with the typical brioche. I was on a family trip to this beautiful island. We decided to freshen up with yet another granita. I went to the cashier to order .. 3 granitas and three brioches. Once at the table we began to taste the slushes purchased ... HORRIBLE. I think it's the worst granita I've eaten in all of this Sicilian month. You shouldn't advertise artisanal granitas, when they are industrial ones. However, it is believed that everyone should do their job. You were born as a hotel, continuing to be hoteliers is much better than trying to make a bar in order to be able to make a drawer. Or at least if you want to do it, do it with honesty and professionalism. Honesty always rewards .. However 100 meters further on there is a kiosk that only makes artisanal slushes .. believe me they are sublime ...
