I had an amazing experience staying at Laxmi Dormitory during my solo trip to Vrindavan. I arrived in the evening and didn’t want to book a full hotel stay since I was only staying for one night. I was initially looking for budget options, but most places were asking for at least ₹1000-1500, which felt a bit too much for a quick stopover. That’s when I came across Laxmi Dormitory, which was perfect for my needs—just ₹500 for the night! The dormitory is located just a short 300-500 meter walk from Prem Mandir and very close to the Premanand Ji Maharaj Ashram, making it a fantastic spot to explore the area. I called ahead to book a bed, explaining I’d be arriving late (around 11 PM). The staff was super accommodating and asked for half the payment to reserve the spot, which I found reasonable. When I arrived at 11:15 PM, I was welcomed with a warm smile. It’s not a big place like a hotel, but it’s by far the cleanest dormitory I’ve ever stayed in! The facilities were fantastic: they provided free personal lockers, separate areas for showers and washrooms, and even had a small kitchen for snacks and drinks. There were vending machines for chocolates and other snacks, which was a nice touch. If you don’t need a full night’s stay and just want to freshen up or store your luggage, they have a short-term option for just ₹125-150, which is perfect for travelers like me who don’t want to carry their bags around. The checkout time is 10 AM, which is very reasonable for early risers or those heading to the nearby temples. For anyone planning a trip to Vrindavan, especially solo travelers like me, I highly recommend this dormitory. It's an affordable, clean, and welcoming place to rest for the night. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit. One last tip: If you plan to visit Premanand Ji Maharaj Ashram, reach Vrindavan around 10 or 11 PM, leave your luggage at the dormitory, take a quick shower, and head straight to the ashram. You’ll want to get in line by 2 AM to secure your spot!
