Overpriced for what it is. Stayed in far better places for far less in our two trips to the region. A little more care and pride in what is a lovely location would revolutionize this place. Unfortunately our complaints seem common reading through recent reviews. Pros: View is lovely, food is reasonable, restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. Cons: Attitude of front of house team is edging on rude. Not proactive in sorting problems and no recompense for issues at all. Issues raised were brushed off and not taken seriously. Room not ready till nearly 1.5hours after advertised check in time, seemed to be a common issue for people turning up and having to wait. Air con not working initially, was fixed but very old, noisy and of poor quality. Communication about above issue was terrible, left us nearly leaving. Bathroom very dated, advertised fancy shower was totally broken leaving a tiny space in a generally dirty shower. Pool area not looked after well at all. Superior room with 'terrace': tiny area of two chairs and a fence tucked behind room with no view, next to neighbours and in full view of restaurant. Total misadvertising.

Stunning location, delicious Tuscan dinner in the restaurant surrounded by beautiful sunset. The room and the bathroom are very dated and feel neglected. We had a door missing from our shower cubicle and the tap was spitting everywhere, whilst we don't expect a modern feel from a farmhouse, the basics felt like they were missing. The outdoor furniture is quite run down, torn and tired too, the pool is a lovely location but again the loungers and the area feel neglected overall, the swimming poor water is not clean. We were visiting mid June and were told the air con units are not switched on across the hotel yet because it's 'too cold', although it was 26 degrees outside, feeling very warm at night.

We had a marvellous stay and the staff were wonderful and very accomodating, especially Ellie. The food was excellent with an extensive menu. The rooms were of a good standard. The swimming pool needs a little TLC. We would definitely return because we had a super time.

A delightful property in an idyllic setting amongst the vines and just a short distance from SG. Our room was very well presented. A mini fridge would have been really useful if just for milk and water. Maria and Sara were welcoming, friendly and helpful Here’s the view from our door.

Superb location! Wonderful panoramic views! Welcoming staff but not very informative. We did not know about pool towels until the end of our stay. Also not clear as to food options at breakfast for baby and dietary requirements for a Coeliac client. Omelettes were available apparently ? Very disappointed with the half board food options for our party - 3 pasta options for starters with no chicken/ vegetarian or fish main course options available. Should have gone for A la carte menu in retrospect. Pool fantastic but not well maintained or easily accessible with broken paving and no white lines denoting steps. Feel the overall experience for the proximity to the Bocelli concert was wonderful but felt the attention to detail was sadly lacking. We had no kettle or tea making facilities and no glasses or even a welcome drink and a daily water bottle in the fridge would have been very much appreciated. Due to the remote situation it meant we had to stock up on essential water and fruit juices and snacks etc to prevent dehydration and it felt almost viable for the owners to have their own shop with ice creams, drinks and snacks to enhance the experience. We had to ask for everything- which was a shame as we had a wonderful time in a beautiful location and the staff were helpful and friendly but too busy to give a good efficient service.

Location with a wonderful view. Cozy structure. The swimming pool, one of the main strong points, overlooks the Tuscan countryside, splendid view of Volterra. Excellent cuisine. The owners and staff are very kind, Giulia the owner is always available. Excellent value for money
