Shabby chic plunges to a new low. We had room 158 the furniture needed sanding and re varnishing, the standard lamp shade was hanging off, no air con, no robes so we could go for a swim in their pool with a very slippery surround. The sauna and steam room were fine, no tea or coffe making in the room Breakfast was good and the public areas rather grand. Staying in hotels pretty regularly this place needs a refurb and totally overpriced

Graded as a 4.5 star, and I'd say it's mostly worth the rating. I had the suite (top floor). Ample space. Parking in basement (14 Euro per day). Up to date. Restaurant was decent. My only complaint? Bar is not open 7 nights a week (presently 4 nights). Walk to the '*****'? About 8 minutes. Plenty of restaurants/bars. Very safe area around the hotel. Would strongly recommend it.

Lovely hotel, food is excellent. Room has a lot of wardrobe space. Carpet is outdated and not hygienic (allergies). There is no airconditioning so the rooms get very warm which makes it difficult to sleep. Most of the younger staff member doen't even speak basic English. We hardly got a welcome at the reception desk. The young lady just checked us in without further explanation and her English was very weak. No explanation about the hotel facilities etc and we had to insist to become a guest card for the bus and museums. This is not acceptable. Restaurant staff poor knowledge of English as well. Bathrooms need an update, the bath is small and you slip while taking a shower. It is also very high to get in and out. A walk in shower would be better. Need to give more attention to the maintenance of the bathroom/room. We had cracks in our sink, and shower siliciones came off. One cupboard door wasn't fixed properly. Great pool, sauna and hammam, lovely garden with seats. Conclusion: we had a lovely stay. More attention for details and maintenance is needed. Staff should speak Engish and be more friendly and welcoming.

It's always worth visiting here. The service is perfect, pretty much every wish is fulfilled. All the staff are very friendly, the breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, the house is a bit old... but work is being done on it.

The setting of the hotel is nice, beautiful park. The staff is good but not easy to make yourself understood when you don't know German. Sometimes the waiters are overwhelmed. For the food, the breakfast is complete cold with rolls of cold meats pastries, hot with omelette, pancakes. The evening buffet not bad but quite basic. Our room was spacious but a little refreshment would be good. For the bedding the pillows are a little too soft. During the stay a Nespresso coffee machine was added which is a good plus

A weekend in the Maritime. Buildings with the charm of the surrounding spa town - no one can do anything about it. Reception staff friendly. Our room (133) - bedroom, living area, bathroom and separate toilet had not been renovated/modernized for a long time, but was ok. However, the newly installed bathtub was installed sloppily and there were no fittings. The water pressure was great - very few hotels offer that (and I know many). In summary: This house is barely in the 3-star category, and the owners should take countermeasures.

We were pleasantly surprised. The stay was good. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is relatively large with a walk-in shower that is really nice. The beds are great and I didn't have any back pain. The staff is friendly and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Highly recommended.
