We lagen op een familiekamer. Ze was eenvoudig ingericht (met ijzeren bedden ipv de houten op de foto), maar wel netjes. Lakens waren heel proper (vacuum verpakt) en de handdoeken waren oké. Er stond een tafel met enkele stoelen. De tv werkte prima. De kleine koelkast werkte goed en was handig om op de kamer te hebben. Badkamer en sanitair waren recent en proper; spijtig dat het deurtje van het kastje onder de lavabo ontbrak. Op de kamer stond een waterkoker. Bekertjes, thee en suiker vond je in bakjes op de gang. De ontvangst was vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was goed: geen megabuffet, maar wel keuze genoeg (verschillende soorten brood om te toasten, beleg kaas/salami/kalkoen, gekookt ei, hagelslag, muisjes, pindakaasjes, smeerkaasjes, confituur (grote pot), botertjes, appelen, peperkoek...) De locatie van dit hotel is top, heel centraal. Het geluid van de kerkklokken heeft ons niet gestoord. Vlissingen heeft een gezellig centrum, fijne restaurantjes, leuke winkels. Je kan er fijn wandelen in de stad, de natuur of op de dijk.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Centraal gelegen in de stad. Door laat startuur v/h ontbijt (08u30) kreeg ik een ontbijtpakketje dat elke dag klaar lag in koelkast. Kleine, muffige sanitair; WC was kapot (eerder gemeld, maar nog niet hersteld) Kamer was moeilijk te luchten; Raam was deels geblokkeerd. Dunne matrassen

Ich hatte vergessen, wie hart es sein kann, wenn man nachts ins sechs Bettzimmer kommt, kein Fenster offen ist und die Luft ein sehr eigenes Aroma hat. Trotzdem: das Frühstück war super, aber im Sehr kleinen Bad hängen schwarze Schimmel,flecken an der Decke.
Ansonsten war es sauber, man hat frisch gewaschene Bettwäsche.

Ik heb een nare ervaring gehad en mij onveilig gevoeld in het City Hostel van Vlissingen. De eigenaar scheen het goed te kunnen vinden met een alcoholist die voor een lange periode op de slaapzaal sliep. Ook zag ik de volgende dag nadat ik wakker werd een van de gasten coke snuiven. Wat was ik blij dat dit mijn laatste nacht was in het City Hostel. Ik zou de eigenaar op willen roepen voorwaarden te stellen aan haar gasten aangezien ze heel goed weet welke gasten overlast veroorzaken. Achja het is ook een beetje een risico wat je loopt als je een hostel boekt denk ik. Maar toch wou ik mensen nog even waarschuwen.

Mooi gebouw. Erg koud, vooral beneden in de brasserie en de badkamervloer. De kerk luidt zijn bellen vanaf 4 uur 's nachts elk half uur.
