Het hotel is zeker een aanrader om op doorreis te gaan. Klantvriendelijk en goede service. Het eten is zeer lekker en een bewaakte privé parking. Ik kom hier in 2024 zeker terug.

Terrible nights sleep, don’t stay until they fit proper double glazing and sound proofing. I had one of my worst nights sleeps in any hotel here. I had a room at the front, noise from traffic (even though it’s a quiet road), noise from people walking by, and then the church bells! I am amazed it is allowed! Every hour they ring for the hour, at quarter past they ring again and then on the half hour yet again! All night long, there is no respite, it is like torture.

We needed a hotel the night before our trip to Efeteling, so this ticked all the boxes, as it was an easy short drive to the Theme Park. Fletcher Hotels never disappoint when we visit The Netherlands. The hotel easily exceeded our expectations. It's in a leafy, residential street in a pretty little town. The church bells from across the street though might get on your nerves a bit if you're trying to settle down for the night. We arrived during a "heatwave" and the lack of air conditioning in the room made for a somewhat sticky night. Parking is plentiful, either across the street or at the side of the hotel. There is a large 'Jumbo' supermarket at the end of the street (easy 10 min walk), which was a bonus so we could stock up and not be subjected to paying 'Theme Park prices' for snacks the following day! The grounds of the hotel are well kept and the hotel itself was clean, as was our room. It was nice to sit outside with some bar drinks. The bar itself was well stocked with some excellent beers at very reasonable prices. Staff are warm, welcoming and very hard working.

De kamers zijn verouderd en aan opknapbeurt toe. Er is wel verwarming, maar geen airco waardoor de kamer alleen afgekoeld kan worden door het raam open te zetten. Er was geen douchegel/ shampoo, wat ik voor de voor kamer betaalde prijs wel verwacht. Zeker als je de luxe kamer boekt. Personeel is vriendelijk maar het lijkt of er niet genoeg personeel is voor met name de bediening. De lunch was goed en lekker. Het diner viel dan weer tegen. Zowel lunch als diner moest apart worden afgerekend en konden niet op de kamer worden gezet. Het ontbijt bood voldoende keus, al had ik de indruk dat een aantal zaken zoals kaas er al langer lagen, omdat dat er nogal uitgedroogd uitzag. De prijs die je betaald vind ik te veel voor wat je krijgt. In ons geval hadden we alleen een bed nodig die nacht, maar ik zou erg teleurgesteld zijn als we dit hadden geboekt voor een weekendje weg.

Al lopende door de gang richting de kamer vraag ik mij af. 'Hopelijk verkeerd de kamer niet in dezelfde staat als hier'. Stuc wat van ellende van de muur afblakerd. Een donkere kleur om zijn verleden te verbergen wat niet lukt. Een hotel die ver voorbij haar prime tijd is. De buitenkant heeft nog iets pitoresks wat in een dorp past, maar daarbij is helaas ook het enige compliment gegeven. Eenmaal de kamer bereikt wordt mijn gedachte helaas niet naar een positieve waarheid gedraaid. De kamer komt je tegemoet met een walm van schimmel en sigaretten rook. Ik had gewenst om na mijn lange werkdag op het bed te ploffen. De vlek op het bed doet mij besluiten om het er niet op te wagen. De badkamer zou mensen met smetvrees doen wegrennen. Schimmel tussen de voegen, muren en op de wc borstel. Duidelijke gebruikssporen van jaren lange slechte schoonmaak. Met kers op de taart de haren van een ander in de douche. Ik draai mij om en besluit hoe lastig ik dit ook vind mij te melden bij de receptie voor een andere kamer. De receptioniste, die al 2 diensten erop heeft zitten doet haar best. Ze zitten vol maar probeert nog een kamer te vinden bij een ander hotel. Helaas, ook geen succes. En nu? De housekeeping is al weg. Ik moet erom vragen, maar ze wilt in ieder geval het bed verschonen. Ik heb het met haar te doen, maar vraag mij ook af: 'sta je achter wat je hier verkoopt, als gezicht van het hotel?' In een 'schoon?' bed beland luister ik mee met de gesprekken van de buren aan weerskanten. Gelukkig is het maar 1 nacht. Douche doen we morgen thuis wel. Aan de directie stel ik gericht de vraag: durft u zelf in 1 van uw hotelkamers te overnachten?

Une honte ! Nous avons réservé une chambre pour une nuit afin d’aller au parc Efteling. La chambre était dans un état lamentable ! Le ménage n’avais pas été fait, les draps n’avaient pas étaient changés !!! C’est une honte ! Qualité du ménage et de l’hygiène de la chambre était déplorable ! Et pour couronner le tout, l’un des lits avait les draps imbibés d’urine ! J’ai du dormir sur un fauteuil toute la nuit et quelle nuit ! Une patronne d’hôtel dénué de compassion, de compréhension et même d’empathie ! Qui a limite insinué que je mentais sur mes propos. Elle m’as dit « c’est arrivé, c’est comme ça. Je ne sais pas quoi vous dire a part que je suis désoler, je ne peux rien faire pour vous vu que vous avez réservé par Booking, à part proposer un petit déjeuner.

Kamers donker en viezig, heeel erg gehorig, bedden ook niet top, geen koffie/faciliteiten, geen kussens in stoelen op het terras, terwijl het lekker weer was, personeel was prima hoor, aardige dames allemaal, maar ik denk dat het voor vluchtelingen een goed onderkomen zou zijn!
