The views here are to die for! Pay extra for a superior+ room at the front of the hotel and you'll be treated to the most stunning sunsets and views over the See. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. For a 3 star hotel, the decor and food is basic and what you'd expect, but rooms are spotless. This place has so much potential, but if money were put into professional decoration to enhance the traditional charm of the building and the antique furniture , the prices would be higher and it might be harder for many to enjoy the warmth and charms of the hotel and it's outstanding location - one of the best locations in town.

Right on Lake Lucerne with wonderful views. This is a very lovely antique style hotel with wonderful staff and delicious meals. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. We were a little late for dinner one evening and the staff was so gracious and made sure we had an amazing dinner. I can't say enough words to convey how polite they were. The elevator is not very big. Two people with luggage is slightly cramped. Not a big deal but just be aware of it.

We had 10 nights driving round Europe. We were lucky with all the hotels we stayed in but this one was the icing on the cake. An absolute delight. Set on Lake Lucerne with views to die for. Our room was comfortable and traditional with a balcony with that view - wow. Breakfast was a good selection and enjoyable. The passenger ferry to Lucerne departs from just in front of the hotel and Mount Rigi venicular to the side of the hotel. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We had a wonderfull evening and the most friendly staff we have seen in a long time. The view near the lake is breathtaking if you have nice weather, we have added our photo here we made in the evening. The food was also delicious. We recommend this place.

Beautiful view of the lake and the mountains, but infernal noise early in the morning and late in the evening, given the proximity of the station! Small and disappointing rooms, friendly staff, but uncommunicative manager for advice and sharing of comments, evening meal: 2 glasses of still tap water at CHF 2.50 per glass = completely unacceptable! No air conditioning! 24 hour wait to get a second linen in the bathroom and a pillow for the bedroom!
