Fantastic location and architecture. Rooms spacious and welcoming. Bathroom old fashioned and missing the modern shower. Very good breakfast. Very good sauna. The team is very serviable ( especially Pierre the manager) but not professional, probably due to lack of personnel. Late cleaning the rooms, missing accessories like soap or shampoo ( offered immediately after request). By improving those small issues, it could have been a fantastic vacation.

Attentive personnel, great choices at breakfast buffet, large rooms. The pool in the spa was very relaxing, due to weather conditions we could not use the outside pool. Manou at the reception was very helpful at our late arrival Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

A fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting. The team are professional, helpful and friendly and make you feel extremely welcome. The level of customer service is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and stylish and the pool area is set in a charming garden which makes this an easy place to relax and spend your time. The spa is an oasis and treatments are delivered by a skilled and professional team. The breakfast was made up of high quality ingredients, excellent service and a beautiful view. Truly a 5 * hotel.

We had a newly renovated and spacious room with a view to the pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful birthday breakfast on the terrace. It's such a pity, that the restaurant at the hotel is not being used for serving dinner!

An absolutely perfect experience: friendly staff, great room, exceptional shower area, great dinner at the Wedge, incredible breakfast buffet….just a pity we had no time to explore the Spa, as we we were on a long road trip and only had one night here. But we hope to be back!

A really beautiful hotel with great facilities. The rooms were spacious and clean and the outside pool and spa area are great. It doesn’t quite give you a 5 star feel - ie there’s not many staff around, there was no one at the bar to order drinks from, there’s nothing that goes above and beyond standard hotel service. We had one meal at wedge which was reasonable. The man serving us was lovely and really enthusiastic/ knowledgeable however the food was a big let down. The steak was over cooked and the duck dish was dry (soggy roast potatoes and little sauce). Overall, if the grounds weren’t as nice as they are I would rate it a 3 star.

The hotel overall is lovely and is in a superbly beautiful location. Our suite also was nicely laid out and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The quality and selection at breakfast was first class too. We had two disappointments, however. The first was that the gastronomic restaurant M was closed during our 4 night stay and the brasserie at the golf club, whilst pleasant, was not at the same level appropriate for a 5 Star hotel. The second disappointment was the absence of staff in the hotel bar! The two evenings we went there for an apéritif, staff had to come down from the golf club to serve us…and then immediately left! This seems not only strange but a lost profit opportunity for the hotel. A final, less important point, is that there was no evening turn-down service (service de nuit), which is also unusual for a 5 Star hotel. All in all, whilst being a superb hotel in a superb location, it fell slightly short of its 5 Star rating.

Professional, v well trained courteous staff. A delight to deal with. Beautiful location and excellent bedroom, bathroom and v large terrace. Nice massage in the spa. Hotel is not quite a 5 star yet but hopefully will get there. Restaurant food in the M restaurant was not good enough for the prices charged. Some of the courses, the dressings/sauces were too overpowering eg on one course using too much vinegar so nothing else could be tasted. If we went to the hotel again we would not dine there. We ate twice there during our stay. Really hope it improves so one could recommend the hotel without a “but the food”.

We spent 6 weeks on a driving vacation of France. This was 1 of 6 hotels we stayed out. Nice location and rooms. Service for breakfast was good, however dinner at both onsite restaurants and the bar was hugely inconsistent due to staffing shortages and unpublished or communicated changes to hours of service. IF open and WHEN a staff member was available, it was good. Couple this with a gas issue in the main house where we were staying which necessitated us to relocate asap to a lesser room. The gas issue was out of the hotel’s control however their reaction to it was within their control. We immediately packed, but due to staffing, we moved our own bags. The room move delayed our scheduled spa appointments at the hotel and, although we’d made reception aware of this and asked that they notify the spa, they did not and our session was cut short. Very disappointing. There didn’t appear to be a manager or sr member of staff on site during our 5 day stay. Bottom line, not a luxury stay as advertised.
