Cannes Palace Hotel

Horrible place, the hotel is terrible. It starts with the lock on the bedroom door being completely broken, the horrible room with the very old, dirty and broken furniture. The walls are grimy and dirty, the curtains too. The bedding was dirty and smelly, the floor was dirty. Anyway, my husband and I couldn't even stay there, we had to change hotels after 20 minutes of staying in this environment. The dangerous location. Anyway, all the photos on the site are lies. It's pure deception. I took several real photos of the place. Do not believe any photo presented about this hotel.

Terrible hotel!! Avoid this place, bad location (historic center), dirty room, shabby reception, no bathroom if someone who checked out wants to, reception full of mosquitoes, very bad breakfast!! Few options, in short I don't recommend it, there are other much better hotels at the same price.

Poor service and extremely mediocre accommodation. I called the Hotel at 7am asking if I could do an early check-in, so I wouldn't have to wait until 2pm, the attendant on the call was super helpful and said yes, I arrived at the hotel around 10am and my early check-in was refused, claiming that there was no more room, when asked, the attendant said that it would be free by 11:30am, at that time I questioned the attendant and he said that there was no clean room, it would only be available at 1pm/2pm without even worrying that he had told me that it would be possible to early checkin. I waited until 1:30 pm and finally managed to check in, the room was old and had a musty smell and the sheets were full of moth holes, and the air conditioning made an unbearable noise that made it impossible for me to sleep. I needed to stay for 3 days and quickly realized that I would ruin my trip there, so I looked for another place to stay...

I hope that the criticisms I will make here will help to change the Hotel and not just see it as a demanding guest (which I am not). I didn't have high expectations for the hotel, even considering the price. But I confess that it disappointed me overall. The fridge wouldn't close, I had to put a bench on the door so it wouldn't stay open all the time. The bathroom door only closed if I pushed hard to the side. The double bed was actually two beds. And in the middle of the night they would open and I would have back pain because my spine was in the hole in the middle of the bed. The pillows were horrible. They are terrible at sleeping, it was more of a gamble to sleep without a pillow than with them. There was a terrible stench coming from the bathroom sewer. In the built-in closet there was a horrible smell coming from the blanket that I didn't have the courage to curl up in. And worst of all: breakfast. Until I discovered Cannes, I had the philosophy that one of the best things when traveling is hotel breakfast. Cannes managed to ruin this moment. Everything was bad. Horrible cake, terrible bread, the "sandwich maker" didn't heat up, I had to eat the cheese cold, the "juices" were actually bottled drinks of the worst quality, tasteless scrambled eggs and terrible sausage. The first day I felt bad about that breakfast. From the second day onwards I selected the least bad things for breakfast so as not to leave with an empty stomach. The good thing about the hotel: cold and hot water in the bathroom and air conditioning.
