Wonderful little village with fortified church. A must visit place to feel the authentic spirit of life in Transylvania. Highly recommended! Parking is indicated and there is a restaurant called Viscri 32 - a gem! Even HRH King Charles has a house in this village.

This is quite an exceptional place to stay. There are a number of accommodation units around the courtyard and an attractive communal dining-area. Dinner is three courses and comes with a seemingly limitless amount of plum schnapps. The proprietress was very friendly. We had booked a double room but appear to have been 'upgraded' to stay in 'the house' (sleeps 4) by the entrance door and it was absolutely charming and cosy: very characterful but with a very modern bathroom. Opening the window onto the 'street' in the morning at sunrise and seeing the cows and goats coming out to graze on the verges was magical. In October the village is very quiet and the overnight stay was unforgettable. There is secure parking within the courtyard. We would happily return. Go while Viscri is unspoilt by tourism!

Slow living a la carte in a village full of history and cultural significance with home cooked meals. Hosts were friendly and welcoming, our rooms were nicely designed and decorated with authentic touches. Fresh flowers, yes! Public areas are wonderfully manicured. We loved the food and were happy to try new traditional meals and recipes. Their staff are locals and they are trying to involve the community as much they can. This is a very good example to follow in other places with such a big potential like Viscri. The only downside was that our room was quite warm on a summer night, since there is no aircon and proper ventilation. Keep up the amazing work, hoping to see you soon again!

We stayed two nights in this lovely rural guesthouse. It was peaceful and comfortable with excellent food. The building was well designed to keep us cool in the heat and was comfortable at night. The village is characterful and interesting. Worth taking a walk to the church, admire the architecture of the houses and look into King Charles III’s home in the village which houses interesting exhibitions. We had a hire car for touring in Transylvania. Not sure if there is any bus service.

Fantastic stay, amazing food in a beautiful location. We loved every minute staying in this wonderful place, very peaceful. The church is also well worth a visit. And although the village is small I'd also recommend a trip to King Charles's house and the blacksmith

We did not stay here but we had breakfast lunch and dinner on several days. The authentic Romanian cuisine was delicious and we had the best breakfast we have had in Romania (during 5 visits). The property has a great relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff. The main dining room is in a beautifully restored Saxon barn.

A gorgeous place to stay in Viscri. Beautiful setting and everything is done with perfect attention to detail. Traditional style but with a modern, luxury touch. The staff member was really kind and helpful, it was a delight to talk to her. Breakfast was excellent, fresh local produce. Parking is easy and convenient. Absolutely loved it, would recommend 100%

Such a beautiful facility and rooms. They have lovely patios where we sat and played cards. The meals were wonderful and the service outstanding!! The gardens so lovely and they had bikes and ping pong and foosball. Highly recommended. The breakfast was extensive and everything homemade!
