Chateau de Latour

The place has enormous potential but is seriously lacking in maintenance. The welcome from the gentleman was cold, the rooms needed a good makeover and cleaning, the meal was too expensive for the quality, the breakfast was good and the lady was pleasant.

I had already had a somewhat mixed experience with the restaurant (calamitous service, two different red wines mixed in the same glass, mediocre dishes) a few years ago, but I thought the hotel would be better managed... What a mistake! 3 months ago, I booked rooms to accommodate my family on the evening of my wedding. Everything was in order, I had several confirmation emails, and also had telephone contacts. But yesterday they told me that they had mixed up two weddings and that they were canceling my reservations because everything might (!!!) already be taken by another wedding taking place at their place! I find myself 2 months before the wedding having to relocate my whole family elsewhere! Was this wedding already planned before my reservations, I will never know, but it now has priority since it is taking place at their place. Other customers are therefore asked to look elsewhere, great mentality, and what professionalism to cancel like this! In the end, it may be a blessing in disguise because I was fortunately able to find a plan B which, given the many negative comments about the Château, will surely be better! And good luck to the couple getting married there! I would never entrust them with the organization of a wedding if they don't already know how to manage simple room reservations.... The exterior setting is pretty, however, it's a real shame that the management is so lamentable.

Nous avons tout de suite aimé la demeure, sa façade avait tellement de charme. Pas d’accueil à notre arrivée. Nous avons hésité pour y manger le soir mais le lendemain matin, au petit déjeuner, le café était une eau légèrement brune, le thé n’infuse pas car l’eau est tiède, il y avait plus de fromage, les croissants surgelés n’étaient pas cuit ! Toute la clientèle s’en plaignaient ! Attendre 20 minutes pour avoir des œufs durs alors que nous avions demandé des œufs à la cocq !! La chambre est étouffante et vétuste, une araignée nous a réveillé, et la salle de bain est dangereuse.

Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit (avec une wonderbox) dans cet hôtel logé dans un vieux chateau. Le personnel était très sympathique et très avenant. Le repas du soir, dans le restaurant de l'hôtel, était délicieux; le déjeuner très varié et copieux. Si nous repassons dans la région, nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Soggiornato qui due notti di passaggio, hotel fatiscente ancora in via di ristrutturazione. Stanze fredde che sanno di chiuso e muffa, bagno antico con acqua scarsa. Per salire alle stanze c’è una scomoda scale con scomodi gradini, le stanze hanno una serratura con chiave semplice che si potrebbe aprire anche con un semplice passpartou e mancano di cassaforte e frigobar, le lenzuola anche se pulite all’apparenza presentavano macchie precedenti…. La colazione per il prezzo che chiedono di ben 12,00 € a testa é scarsa con poca offerta e se si scende dopo i premi non c’è più disponibilità. Essendo situato un po’ isolato, la cena che viene servita offre poca scelta di piatti.

Nous avons toujours très bien été reçu et mangé au Château. Malheureusement, il y a eu un grand passage à vide dans le courant de l'année 2023. Depuis peu, une nouvelle équipe est mise en place et nous avons été ravis de la soirée passée. Nous avons à nouveau été agréablement surpris et très bien mangé. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.
