This is a wonderful chateau for a relaxing stay. The chateau itself is beautiful, with charming authentic rooms that have a lot of character. The pool is a lovely spot to spend an afternoon reading a book and unwinding. The breakfast is excellent, featuring local products, and we highly recommend staying for dinner at least one evening in the romantic chateau setting. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that everything is taken care of down to the last detail. With only a few rooms, the stay feels very personal. Day trips to places like Blois or wine tasting in the Sancerre region are within a 30-minute to 1.5-hour drive. For us, this was a unique chateau experience which we highly recommend!

The interior is old (as it should be), but well maintained. The interior is why in different styles and eras, but everything works well together. Lots of light and little dust (it's often the other way around in old buildings). A small castle with only 5 rooms for visitors. NB! Since it is a private accommodation, it does not make sense to expect services at the level of an international hotel. The pool is not very big, but it is quite new and heated. Very quiet at night and nice birdsong in the morning. We stayed in a lot of palaces on this trip, and this palace was the smallest of them, but as accommodation it was the best. In our room, it was only possible to wash in the bath, but the hand shower hose was so short that you could only rinse yourself while sitting in the bath, it was unusual and a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast selection is not rich, but everything is there and we were full. Apparently by French standards the selection is very good, but in the north we are brought up with the knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and that we don't eat sweets for breakfast. Our mobile internet didn't work there, but the house's Wi-Fi was OK. In a very remote place in the forest. It can be problematic to get there with a low sports car, as you have to drive a few kilometres along the unpaved road. There are several restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful, tranquil and relaxing - it was a great place to be for our honeymoon, very romantic. The sounds of nature are everywhere and there’s and easy path to wander to the edge of the property if you want to take a stroll. It was also beautifully furnished and we loved hearing about the family history.
Claudine was an incredible host, with no shortage of recommendations & assistance with reservations - as we don't speak much French. Breakfast was a lovely, traditional French breakfast complete with products from the local area. The only shame was that we were only there for one night, we would have loved to have stayed longer and we hope to return!

A small and charming Château set in the forests of the Sologne region. Claudine and her husband are exceptionally welcoming hosts. A stay here is an invitation into their family home. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and informal. Decorated in the understated elegance of a French period property the house is filled with details and quirks that illustrate its 230 year history. Something that is increasingly difficult to find as more hotels succumb to contemporary bling. Great location to visit the wealth of historical sites and charming towns of the region and what could be better than to return at the end of a busy day for a dip in the pool. Breakfast and dinner featured local produce, elegantly presented and were great value. Thoroughly recommended. We are certain we will be returning.

We had the pleasure of staying two night at the chateau as we drove and explored France. The beauty of the chateau, the food, both breakfast and dinner was top notch! and most of all the generous hostess and sharing the history of the chateau, just an unbelievable time that we will never forget
