Hotels Near Fort Saint-Andre in Villeneuve-les-Avignon

The location was perfect - situated right next to City Hall. The staff was friendly, and we really appreciate the bottle of rose and olive oil as presents to celebrate our anniversary. The room size was petite, but it is on par with the hotel rooms we stayed in France, although the bathroom here was pretty large. There was a bit of a miscommunication with our to-go breakfast, but it got resolved quickly.

I write this message to denounce the process established by the leaders of these ZENAO establishments, who are informed that there is an incompatibility between the two worlds of old age and the usual hotels ... all this to make a ponpon!!!! I'll show you my case, one night in this room, at 1H30 of the morning wake up by music, very strong. I hit the door for a few minutes, then I go home and ask him to lower the sound, a little surprised to see me, it runs. I allow me to tell the director at my check out, and talking with the reception, the household women and the director, everyone knows that my neighbor has problems with harm, because he is deaf ... OK, so if you are informed, why rent this room? because the seat requires us to do so despite our warnings. Ladies and gentlemen, ZANEO's leaders, I am extremely unhappy with your way of seeing the business and I am really sorry for your employees and residents who have to suffer the consequences, because they cannot hide behind a Office ...

We were in Avignon during their music and theater festival and were lucky enough to get a room at the well-located Hotel de Cambis. Our arrival was very stressful - we foolishly decided to drive and drop off our luggage before returning our rental car to the TGV station. Due to the festival, we ended up around the corner from the hotel entrance on a street that technically was closed to cars. After I took our first bag to the lobby, the desk clerk came out, walked to the car and helped me carry the remaining bags (while my husband explained our car’s presence to a gendarme). When we later returned to the hotel, our bags were already in the room, a tremendous relief on a hot and frantic day. The room was spacious and the a/c really good, which was wonderful on 99 degree days. The breakfast (9 euros pp) was plentiful with decent selection. There is a lovely, comfortable salon on the second floor by the breakfast room where they serve afternoon tea and snacks. We spent time there reading and relaxing. Nice bathroom, good shower. Very little noise from inside the hotel but our window faced a lively street. If that is a concern, you might ask for a room on the quiet side. The street the hotel entrance was on was very nice, with lovely boutiques and lots of options for food. Easy walk to all the sights of Avignon. There were grocery stores, a pharmacy and a boulangerie close by. All the staff were terrific and helpful. Highly recommend.

Everything is very good at the hotel, the decoration and sanitary conditions are not bad, but there are big problems at the front desk of the hotel. Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.

We had an amazing weekend at the Chateau. The rooms, landscaping, impeccable service and facilities made us escape the world for a weekend and feel fully transported into a southern French dream. There is plenty to do in the nearby towns to keep us busy. Lots of great food options that were recommended. Complements to the Radford family and the staff for an amazing stay.

We celebrated my wifes 50th birthday at the Château des Fines Roches. The chateau is just amazing! Really beautiful and special with just amazing surroundings. To open the room window in the morning and look over the valley is really nice. The staff is excellent and service minded. Whatever we needed help with, or the preparation, some things I've ordered in advance for the birthday was just perfect. They even made sure the sommelier experience worked with our dates, although the initial response was that the dates didn't match. Just perfect customer service! We also had dinner which was an excellent experience as well. BIG thank you to everyone that helped us during our stay. A happy memory for life and you really made my wifes 50th birthday special!
