Villars Palace

The property features a varied breakfast buffet, exceptional location, excellent facilities, comfortable bedrooms, and outstanding staff service. However, there were no disadvantages mentioned in the reviews.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the hotel in terms of both hard and soft product. The hotel and its surroundings are very well kept and everyone in the hotel is extremely helpful. The lobby, spa, pool and rooms are all very well thought of and beautifully decorated. Unlike the rest of the Europe they don’t seem to be short on staff and every request is handled quickly and with care. The only thing I would want to see in the future is some changes to their rooms. As many families with small children visit this hotel they absolutely need to put minibars in their rooms. No one wants to go the bar they have on every floor or call for room service for a glass of milk or some baby food in the middle of the night. Also our room did not have a physical door for the shower room, I do not know about you but I don’t like my little children running in and out as I am trying to have a shower. Also no locks on their toilet door which was a seperate area. These minor things however do not take anything away from the 5 stars this property deserves.

We were so lucky to be at the Villars Palace these 3 days. The pool-gym-spa-bar were very nice after a day of hiking, but even more appreciated when the rain scratched our subsequent hiking plans. While it poured down, our family group could enjoy each other and the facilities in this big, beautiful, central hotel with its impeccable service. Their staff with their van even saved us from getting drenched after our dinner in a nearby restaurant. Special compliments for their wonderful buffet breakfast – so much choice and without waste. Plans to return are afoot.
