Hotel Allon Mediterrania

Although the hotel is in a prime location, was spotlessly clean and tidy and the staff (mostly) are very helpful and friendly, it needs a major overhaul in the following areas: we arrived between 12 & 1, were greeted by the very cheerful receptionist Philipe, and were told that the room would be ready in 15 minutes, maybe less. We thought OK, let’s get a coffee while we wait. Bar not open, and nowhere to get a drink of any kind! Come on guys, that’s the least that should be available. Room was ready in about 10 minutes, great, it’s a good sized and well appointed room, with a fab view over the beach - but no tea or coffee facilities, and only 1 available socket for phone charging! The restaurant was the worst we’ve been to in a long time, buffet ‘hot’ food was warm at best, and looked like it had been put out at least an hour before anyone arrived. The same for breakfast. Coffee machine served powdered milk, so fortunately there was fresh milk and a microwave to make a decent coffee. At least the hot water was ok for making tea. Would be best to scrap the idea of hot buffet, and cook to order off a smaller menu. At least it might be hot when it’s served. I’m sure the bacon & sausage at breakfast was the same from the previous days just ‘warmed up a bit’. The Allon Mediterrania has the potential to be a 4* hotel, but not unless the owners or management sort out what should be very basic ‘customer care’.

The Allon is in a great location with sea view and right opposite a fabulous beach. Big thanks to Maria on reception who was a great help to us personally :). We enjoyed breakfast and the area of the hotel where it was served with plenty of choice and freshly made food as required. The feel of the hotel was good but it let itself down badly with the little things that can make your stay just a little better ie. No table on your balcony just 2 chairs ..what ??. No kettle tea or coffea Why ?? Who doesn't like a hot drink before going down for breakfast and the demand for kettles at reception is clear they got that wrong and this being a 4 star hotel..? The lighting in our room was very poor and a definite lack of relaxing furniture too..dissapointing 😌 for the class of place but we did enjoy staying there.

Hotel basic,food well below average,lounge bar closed, no tea coffee in room,sun loungers well passed best. The rooms were very clean and well serviced, staff were very good. This is not a 4 star hotel, but it is in a beautiful location an worthy of good hotel and associated services

I've stayed here quite a few times now and found it everything I needed. My stays have been part of a business trip and there are plenty of spaces for group work and meetings. Directly across the road is the beach and a promenade, just down the road a bit are the escalators for the less mobile to get up the hill to the shopping area which is full of small shops, not the big franchises as in cities. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and sunbeds, and I believe there is a gym (though I've never looked for it). Food on the stay is buffet style and adequate. The rooms are all big and most have balconies overlooking the ocean at no extra cost.

This place is in a fabulous location right on the beach. Spacious rooms which are basic but clean and all have balconies overlooking the sea. Pool is great. Not many beds but the beach is so close if it's busy. Breakfast is decent and self service so plenty of it.

This was not our first choice of hotel to visit in Villajoyosa. However as none of the others bothered to respond to my emails we opted to stay here. Communication was excellent and helpful. The hotel is in a great location facing the beach. It is a large hotel. Not very busy when we were staying there, so it was easy to get our requested room on the 2nd floor with walk in shower. Facing the sea. The room was very large. Two single beds pushed together as a double bed. Large balcony. Great air conditioning. However there was no booklet showing you how to regulate the flow of air. The decor was terribly bland. Really needs a makeover, walls scuffed. The bathroom was large with great walk in shower. No hooks to hang your smalls when you are taking a shower though. Why? Good quality towels. We had a problem with silver fish in the bathroom. Despite the above, the hotel was very clean. The cleaning products that they use are highly perfumed....to the point of almost gagging from their odour. I would also recommend that they open the windows in the corridors to let some fresh air in as these were very hot and stuffy. Food was excellent. Always a great selection to choose from. We ate well here. Sometimes it could have been a little warmer. There is no water available to guests even at breakfast time. You have to purchase bottled water at €3 a pop. When it is brought to your table it is already opened. It should be opened at the table. We enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very nice and pleasant.
