This is a small hotel at the lower end of Vilaflor. It has 14 rooms split between the ground floor and an upper floor. Check-in was easy enough and we were shown where our room was located, which was a decent size, a comfortable bed, and a good size bathroom, a desk plus two easy chairs. We had booked half board for our stay, and as we arrived early evening we headed straight for the restaurant. There were 8 tables set for dinner in the dining room, but it was rather chilly. There was a very good choice of starters, main courses and desserts, and the drinks prices were reasonable. We were really impressed with the choice and the quality of the food when it arrived, with all the dishes prepared from scratch by the chef. We had to wait a while as she was on her own, but that didn't matter, with some bread, wine and beer to keep us going. Breakfasts were equally as good, with everything brought to your table apart from coffee and juice, where you could help yourselves. Daily there was fruit, yoghurt, cheese & meat, rolls, toast & jam, plus a hot dish (fritata/scrambled eggs/omlette/fried egg) The breakfasts were similar but slightly different each day, and there was always more than you could eat, even for someone like myself with a good appetite. So all in all, a really good choice of accommodation in Vilaflor, and I would recommend it to anyone. There is also a comfortable lounge area close to reception, with some books to choose if you wish. As we were here in February the outdoor pool and sun loungers were not available to use, but there are some outdoor seats at the front of the hotel for when it is sunny and warm, as the front of the hotel catches the sun in the afternoon. There is also a private Spa, with a hot tub and sauna, which needs to be booked a day or two in advance, as it is popular. The cost is €30 for an hour's private session. We tried this early one evening after a long hike, along with some chilled Cava that we had pre-ordered. Throughout our stay all the staff very very courteous and professional in their service. An only very small criticism was that there was no heating turned on in the dining room, even though there were some radiators There was a small log fire which was lit at the start of dinner service each evening, but it didn't really throw out any heat, it was more for effect really. This being winter time with the outside temperature around 5-6c in early evening and morning, it would have felt that much more comfortable with a little background heating whilst having dinner, rather than having to eat dressed in your coat/jumper/scarf etc. as most people did.
