Our Standard double room with small balcony & breakfast was great, we had a spectacular view of the Rio Corgo Gorge which was enhanced at night by floodlights. Our room came with breakfast, a comfortable bed, air conditioning, shower over the bath, TV, wardrobes and a small fridge. The balcony was large enough for us both to sit outside and enjoy an afternoon beverage. The hotel has 2 indoor pools the larger being 16 metres long, a very well equipped modern gym and outdoor sun leaners on the terrace and by the pool. The staff were great, very accommodating to our needs and friendly. We based ourselves here to visit the Douro Valley (no car) and being an easy 900 metre walk to the bus station to get to Regua, the valley and the MiraDouro Train made that easy. Great location.

A/C did nothing, very dark and dated. Didn’t feel clean at all and the beds were the least comfortable I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Would not return, could not wait to leave. Only pluses we’re front desk staff were very pleasant and kids liked the pool as it was our only way to cool down in the extremely hot day.

We found this hotel comfortable with very good reception staff who helped on all aspects of our trip. The hotel is close to good value restaurants, the very nice Old Town and the lots of good quality clothes shops!

The hotel has a great location in the town. However it really needs updating, the bedrooms are dated and gloomy. The reception staff are friendly and helpful but breakfast is chaotic. There is one coffee machine which also provides the hot water for tea unless you can find someone to give you a pot of hot water which if it arrives has no lid. The lifts are very slow and not enough of them given there are no visible stairs to use.

We really liked the hotel, a spacious and comfortable lounge, animated by a very funny parrot. The terrace is magnificent, with beautiful views of the river Tajo. The staff is very attentive and makes your stay pleasant. The room is very comfortable. A highly recommended hotel, and it is also very well located, in the centre.

A spacious room with good beds and a neat bathroom form the basis of this hotel. It has its own parking garage and an indoor swimming pool. Unfortunately, the latter was not heated, which has the great advantage that it is certainly not busy. Fortunately, there are two sun terraces to warm up again and a fitness room for those who do not have enough. The hotel is conveniently located in relation to the city. All kinds of restaurants are nearby. Terra de Montanha is recommended. The breakfast was reasonable, but certainly not great for a four-star hotel.
