The hotel is very unique, over 100 years old. Vintage but not old, with French influence and has style. I love the hotel very much. The bed and pillow are comfortable. Like the aroma of shower gel and shampoo. Staff are very friendly and helpful! If you stay there, please go to the roof top to enjoy the view.

Review of Bordoy Grand House Algarve
Our stay at the Bordoy Grand House Algarve was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely personal — every staff member made us feel completely at home, without being overbearing.
The hotel itself is stunning. It’s beautifully restored with vintage charm and elegant touches throughout. We loved the rooftop pool and bar area — the perfect place to unwind with views over the Guadiana River. The location is ideal too, just a short stroll from the marina and town square.
One of the highlights was the food. Breakfast was a delight — fresh, high-quality, and served in a peaceful setting. We also had dinner at the Grand Salon Restaurant and it was incredible — a fine dining experience with local flair and beautifully presented dishes.
The little touches made all the difference — from the turn-down service to the thoughtfully curated interiors. We left feeling relaxed, pampered, and already planning our return.

This hotel was amazing . The staff and service was excellent . It was super cute with old world charm . We loved everything about this place . It has its own private beach club which was fantastic . We would highly recommended putting this hotel on your itinerary.

We only stayed one night but we loved everything about Grand House! Such a beautiful and unique boutique hotel.
The rooms are cozy and inviting, and the beds very comfortable with nice linens. The staff at the beach club and restaurant was excellent and very accommodating.
A must-stop on your Algarve trip!

The renovation is fabulous. My issue is the breakfast and dinner service. They seem very understaffed. We waited almost an hour for breakfast one day and dinner was expensive with only 2 entrees. My pork was a piece the size of my fork end. The manager was excellent but cannot be everywhere at once.

The property is very nice and clean and breakfast was fantastic. The beach club is about a 3 minute drive, and is very peaceful. They close at 5pm, which is really early. The sun is still beaming until 8pm. It would have been nice to not feel rushed out of there, especially since there isn’t a ton of things to do in the evening. You basically are stationed at the hotel.
The area needs more restaurants. Definitely a little sleepy of a town, but worth a night. We stayed two, and it was one too many.
The shopping is great. Nice Portuguese pottery and other authentic items for cheap.
