Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia, Curio Collection by Hilton
4.4/557 Reviews
Beautiful setting, lovely outdoor pool. Great location, nice walk across the river to Porto. Nice friendly welcome and staff were always super helpful. Well appointed spacious rooms (albeit the bathroom would benefit from a sliding door. Excellent breakfast Disappointed that the out door pool didn't open until 10 am so missed the early morning swim( there is an indoor pool but not quite the same) Very disappointed with the Pool & Bar menu, food quality mediocre at best and very expensive for what you get !
Gaia Residence Vila Nova Da Gaia

We are in a great 2-bed apartment in Gaia Residence, which is combined with the Hollyday Inn Hotel. The apartment is complete with beds for 4, a small kitchen, living room and a small table for dining. All is perfect until the time of excellent breakfast, quite complete, but served in the same environment for the two hotels. There are the problems of superloting. A war!!!
The Lodge Hotel

Just wow! Loved our stay in The Lodge for a special anniversary weekend. The hotel is immaculate and the design superb. I was fortunate to see a few different room types! The likes of the deluxe doubles with Porto and Douro views are spacious and well laid out with views to die for. The L’Occitane en Provence toiletries and robes and slippers an added bonus. All that you’d expect of a 5 star hotel. The signature suite is truly incredible and it comes with Jo Malone toiletries and the most spacious 2 bedroomed suite I’ve ever encountered as well as novel mirrors which actually double up as TVs! The highlight for a hot weekend in June though is the modern chic pool area on the 5th floor. Whilst there aren’t unobstructed views of Porto it is a true haven in the middle of Gaia! Superb! Cannot fault!
Vincci Ponte de Ferro

Perfect location to explore Porto as it's close to the action on both sides of the river AND, this is a GREAT TIP, you can easily cross the bridge at the top or bottom and not have to walk the long way up/down on the streets because you can use the hotel's elevator! Another tip / warning – we drove here and used maps on our iPhone and the pin drop is off. I think Google Maps might be more accurate. There is onsite parking and you have in/out access yourself without having to use Valet. I'd also add the breakfast was outstanding, the staff was super accommodating, the bed was comfortable, and there was great water pressure in the shower. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling to Porto!
Novotel Porto Gaia
4.2/548 Reviews
Porto has always been rated highly so was a little concerned that the Novotel was on the other side of the Douro River. Quickly dismissed on arrival when we were greeted at reception by Aderito Diaspora. A most charming man who made every one signing in to the hotel feel very special - being multilingual helps. Free with advice on what to see, what and where to eat and the best places for shopping. A trip into Porto was a little as €4 and never more than €10 and this included a ride to beautiful shopping complex of El Conte Ingles. So leaving the hustle and bustle of Oporto to the calm of Afurada was a plus. The suggestion to walk down to the quaint fishing village of San Pedro with an Uber to take us back was greatly appreciated as we were able to see the Uber coming right up to our restaurant table. All hotels should have an Aderito Diaspora.
