This place is a hidden gem. Imagine to stay in an old monestary that has been modernised but still with the touch of being an old monestary or castle! The breakfast was also great!! Loved this place!

An incredible step back in time with a sense of peace & history surrounding you. The rooms were comfortable. Excellent linens, toiletries and superb breakfast. Loved the breeze from the open window & hearing the rain as I slept. Recommend.

Stayed in the Convento for 4 days, I had an amazing experience! stunning venue, the rooms are spacious and beautiful and very clean. The Host Leonor, made all the diference, super friendly and dedicated. Thank you so much for such a remarkable experience. We will be back very soon for sure

Wer außergewöhnliche Unterkünfte und alte Gemäuer liebt, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Das ganze Gebäude ist nicht überrenoviert und hat daher noch eine gewisse Ausstrahlung. Dicke Steinwände, alte Türen und Tore mit großen Schlössern, dekorative alte Möbel, hier stimmt alles. Die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit setzt leider allen alten Gebäuden auf Sao Miguel zu (das sieht man auch in den Kirchen), daher ist loser Putz an der einen oder anderen Stelle kein Mangel, sondern ortsüblich. Es gibt mehrere Aufenthaltsräume und Terrassen, auf denen man es sich gemütlich machen kann und einen Pool im Garten. Wir wurden eingeladen frei auf dem ganzen Gelände umherzulaufen, auch auf dem Dach und dem Glockenturm (!) Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Wir hatten dem Blick zum Garten (und etwas Meer), hohe Decken, einen Kamin und ein altes, sehr großes Ölgemälde, perfekt passend zu der ganzen Anlage. Es ist sehr ruhig, geweckt wird man höchstens durch die Vögel im Garten. Das Frühstück ist völlig ausreichend und besteht aus frischem Obst, Brot/Brötchen, Käse, verschiedenen Aufstrichen und gekochten Eiern. Das sehr freundliche Personal kommt noch dazu, daher kann ich den Aufenthalt uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Oglądając zabudowania klasztorne zrobiłem kilka zdjęć i zdążyłem przeczytać krotką informację o jego historii .Dopiero wtedy dowiedziałem się ,że klasztor po odnowieniu został zamieniony na hotel . Część klasztornych zabudowań wymaga jeszcze na pewno rewitalizacji . Pomysł wykorzystania budynków klasztornych na hotel uważam za świetny .Mogę zazdrościć tym którzy skorzystali z noclegu w takim nietypowym hotelu .

Un ancien couvent franciscain converti en hôtel de charme . Première fois dans un tel lieu. Le bâtiment est superbe. Le lieu est bien restauré et malgré son passif historique ni lugubre ni oppressant. Les chambres sont grandes, agréables. Pas d’odeurs désagréables. La literie est confortable. La salle de bains est grande. Vue superbe sur l’ilheu juste en face et océan . La femme qui gère l’intendance certainement la gérante est hyper sympathique , souriante, toujours un mot pour chacun savoir si tout se passe bien. Un salon avec eaux à disposition et terrasse bien agréable.Le petit déjeuner maison est prévu sur de grandes tables communes. Des produits frais, confitures maisons à découvrir . Jus d’orange aussi. Ananas à disposition un régal, des serres sont installées sur la propriété. Centre ville port à pied sans problème. Supermarché pratique a 200 mètres avec cafétéria.Point négatif, la piscine malheureusement le fond sale , terre, lors de notre séjour , pour moi pas possible de s’y baigner dommage. Des escaliers en pierre, difficile pour y porter les valises. La nuit des chiens qui aboient constamment aux alentours. A recommander pour 1 ou 2 nuits.
