You need to be aware that this guest house will take your booking fee at the time of booking and not just before you are due to travel like most bookings. They do offer a full refund in the event of cancellation and that should be made within 7 days. My experience was that I cancelled my booking and did not receive a refund within 7 days or any replies to my emails sent to the property, in fact I only got my refund back by raising a dispute with visa who took the payment back a month after cancelling my booking. Obviously make your own mind up but I wouldn’t recommend this guest house to anyone.

What did I like? Everything! the host was lovely, the view was beautiful, the room was comfy (probably the best sleep I had during my trip), the breakfast was delicious, and the local restaurant was brilliant!

Charm of an old chaumière, tranquility as a Monet painting, the banks of the river Seine as a surrounding view, a lovely host, Bertrand; Secluded in the beautiful Normandie village of Vieux-Port halfway between Caudebec en Caux & Pont-Audemer, if this is your Normandie style, come & enjoy peace.

This was an idyllic setting. The cottages are thatched and very picturesque, by the Seine Bertrand, the owner was polite and made me a pot of tea, rather than the usual continental way of a teabag in a saucer and hot water Then, I am sorry to say things went pear shaped. Cleanliness was an issue. Gritty floor, no door mat. Fusty smelling bedding and towels. Such a shame as the potential, with a few tweaks is there sure enough Add to this the payment app on the owners ‘phone. This did not work properly and caused a fraud alert from my bank and the cards to be blocked temporarily. When this was sorted the app still wouldn’t accept payment and there was nothing my bank could do. The result was that I had to draw out cash, £200 pounds a day. Very inconvenient and the extra walking caused a lot of pain. We would only visit again if these issues were rectified

A great address for those who want to stay in a quiet and relaxing place. Lots of charm and romance. The "1783" suite, in the main cottage of which it occupies half, is particularly pleasant with its large fireplace, its Chesterfield sofas and its large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. King size bed with comfortable mattress and pillows. USB channel, Nespresso coffee maker, bathrobes,... The view of the Seine is magnificent. The garden is well maintained. The breakfast is plentiful and of high quality. It can be taken on the private terrace of the suite. Excellent welcome from Bertrand, poet owner and lover of the place. Parking in the street or the small path that runs along the property. To perfect the tranquility of the place and help to let go, no TV or wifi. Shy 3G/4G.

L'endroit est unique au monde: on a l'impression d'être dans un tableau du 18e siècle, ou dans une toile de Monet. Le jardin sur la Seine est d'une beauté à couper le souffle. Les couleurs changent selon les moments de la journée. Tout est calme, paisible, poétique. Les photos sont éloquentes, mais la réalité dépasse largement toute attente. Les chambres et les suites se trouvent à l'intérieur de chaumières du 18e siècle restaurées avec amour, et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Les meubles, les tableaux, les objets, tout à été choisi avec soin pour créer une atmosphère raffinée et chaleureuse. Le petit déjeuner du matin est un bonheur pour les yeux et pour le palais. Bertrand est un hôte exceptionnel. Sa culture, sa vision de la vie, et la passion avec laquelle il préserve et il valorise cet endroit hors-norme, représentent une plus-value. Il a fait de la Bonne Auberge un lieu inoubliable, qu'il faut visiter au moins une fois dans la vie.

Le site est dingue, le lit confortable, la vue folle et Bertrand qui nous accueille...on ne peux plus sympa. Il faut y retourner 😀. Diner a quelques kilomètres a la Tourelle et vous avez le combo parfait du beau et du bon gravés à jamais......

Je tiens à partager mon expérience avec cet établissement. J'ai réservé une chambre en faisant attention dans le descriptif que la borne de recharge pour mon véhicule électrique était bien présente. Lors d’une communication avec l’hôtelier pour vérifier les modalités pratiques quant à cette borne , celui-ci me répond que l’établissement n’en possède pas et comme ma réservation est non remboursable qu’il ne me dédommagera pas. Après avoir tenté de résoudre le problème à l'amiable avec l’hôtelier j'ai dû demander à booking d’intervenir et ce 4 fois de suite. Merci à eux pour leurs différentes interventions. L’hôte a finalement concédé au remboursement.
De plus, la communication avec l'hôtelier a été décevante. Au lieu de faire preuve de compréhension et s’excuser pour l’erreur de descriptif , j'ai reçu des réponses peu professionnelles et manquant de respect. Je vous conseille donc de bien vérifier les avis et de vous méfier des promesses qui pourraient ne pas être tenues.
Il existe de nombreux autres établissements où l'honnêteté et le service client sont prioritaires. Faites preuve de prudence si vous envisagez de réserver ici !
