Nam Pien Yorla Pa

This hotel is a pleasant 1 hour and 45 minute drive from Vientiane. The room was comfortable with a lovely view of the forest. The staff were friendly but not many speak English which is totally OK. The resort makes sure it employs local people from the area which I respect whole heartedly. Fortunately there was a lovely and attentive staff member called Bounthone who ensured I got everything I needed and helped me interpret. I left him a tip to show my appreciation. The manager Mr Xay was friendly and willing to assist when needed. When I first arrived it was the last day of Pi Mai ( Laos New Year) so it was extremely busy with guests coming up for day trips. The day after was quiet and peaceful. This time of year is dry season. I was disappointed that there was no water in the river and the waterfall as I was looking forward to a fresh water swim! I recommend a visit in the rainy season! It was a comfortable stay. The food was okay. I will return when there is water in the river.

Wow!! This place is amazing. We just took a ride from Vientiane only 1 hour 30 minutes. There are plenty of activities for you to discover and enjoy. We tried the Zip lining which was so fantastic. The guys who take care of us are really professional well trained. The room is beautiful over look to the river and forest view. The hotel team Mr Chansamone is helpful and down to the restaurant Mr Bounthone is taking care good of us. We are absolutely recommended this hotel, ourselves will be back here for sure

HIDDEN GEM - Found this place totally by accident late one night ---. Such a friendly greeting as we had not booked and it was late. Quickly russled up snacks and coffee before checking in for a much needed sleep in the beautiful well appointed chalets hidden in the jungle. The morning awakening in this tropical forest is so in tune with nature. Fabulous breakfast spread by the pool in the forest. Such a good place to relax that we decided to stay another night. So many great activities or just walk in the natural wonder. Fabulous accommodating staff from the managers thru to the gate staff , super clean luxury modern chalets (tried two types) and great food. Every time I return to Laos from now on I will relax on my last night here before the two drive back to Vientiane.

Excellent location with beautiful views and surroundings throughout. Recommend spending some time here for some rest and relaxation

We had an amazing stay in Nampien, the forest and wood bridges are amazing to spend time in nature and watch wildlife, the food was good, the pool very nice especially during that really hot time, the rooms are amazing, just above the river, and the staff was great, especially Xai who help us the hole time of our stay, thanks a lot to him. You can have forest walk, experience the zipline or just Chill to the pool, there is a place for anyone in Nampien yorlapa. Thanks everyone

If you decide to stay here, then you must be the next target. I will let you know the reasons why you must not choose this resort. 
These are what happened to me few days ago. 1. The resort matched wrong pictures and prices in their homepage. In homepage, It is more cheaper then OTA sites but it was not. It was more expensive. I regret to cancel in Agoda when I was check in. However they never sorry about that and no one took responsibility. 2. The resort did not prepare the room. The room condition is the worst I have ever seen: * The safety box was broken. * Mold is everywhere. The smell was like foot odor. * The water quality is a nightmare. I attached a picture. It only took once to contaminate the filter." * The handheld light did not work. * Some of the lights did not work. 3. F&B? You can experience worse service and worse taste for a higher price compared to cheaper food stores in Laos. 
- It took almost 2 hours to get our food after ordering, even though we were the only guests in the restaurant. 
- Resort workers tried to overcharge us for drinks. The total bill was supposed to be 660,000 kip, but they charged us 900,000 kip without an official bill. 
- Hospitality staff did not inform us that the buffet is not served when there are fewer than 5 guests. - We waited for about an hour in the restaurant without any information or assistance from the staff. They did not apologize for their mistake or the inconvenience. 
- Guests ate together with hotel employees in the same restaurant. They touched food with unwashed hands and spoke loudly while we were eating. They didn't care whether guests were present or not. 
- The draft beer tasted terrible. I think they don't know how to manage the draft beer equipment properly. This bad taste is likely caused by their negligence of the nozzle or something else. Even bottled beers tasted unpleasant. 4. Poor quality, possibly containing undefined chemicals.
It was the first time I felt like my skin was melting or burning while swimming. I'm seriously considering going to the hospital to treat my skin. I'm not sure if they have the knowledge to properly maintain the swimming pool. In any case, it seems they lack professional expertise in managing the resort.
 5. This is the final incident. We had money stolen from our room while we were away. The stolen amount was almost $250. We have no idea when, by whom, or how this occurred. We reported the issue to the reception and the manager. However, all we received were routine responses, with promises to investigate their employees. I knew they didn't have protocols or a security system in place to handle such situations. It's not just about the $250, which isn't a significant amount to us. The main reason for my upset is their attitude towards guests. They didn't seem to feel any remorse. I can't forget the memory of some of them smiling slyly when we were facing trouble.

This hotel is deep in the northern Laos countryside, giving access to some exceptional scenery and culture. The large, well designed rooms are spread along a small river, each with private views to the greenery beyond. Our one gripe was the food. There is a suspiciously large menu of Laos and western dishes (not convinced there was much cooking from scratch going on!) We asked for house wine by the glass; the first came from the tail end of a wine box,the second was clearly off. The restaurant felt like a works cafeteria, especially at breakfast time. Yes, it's a remote location, but for us, the place didn't live up to its 'luxury', 'boutique' billing

'Nam Pien Yorla Pa' is the best place to relax in nature andenjoy various activities. Visited on a family trip. I had a very beneficial healing time there. All of the staff were very friendly and supportive, which I was very satisfied with. It's two thumbs up!!!
