Meininger Hotel Wien Downtown Franz

We stayed at MEININGER Hotel Wien Downtown Franz for 3 nights, and it was a fantastic experience! The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and designed for comfort. The beds were cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The hotel's location is perfect—easily accessible and well-connected to public transport, making it a great base for exploring Vienna. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a diverse and delicious selection to start the day right. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting.

We had a 6 bed room for our family, 4 of the beds had lovely comfy mattresses, but two were exceedingly lumpy and springs sticking up, so clearly needed replacing. Breakfast was good, but rather expensive for what was offered, compared to other hotels. Parking was perfect and staff were friendly and welcoming. We would stay there again, as the location and facilities were great and staff were helpful.

Unsufficient cleaning. Carpets in the hall smells bad. İf you insist to stay here bring some antibacterial cleaning material. This the first and last time at this Hotel chain and I’m looking forward to leave it. Location not bad but exaggerated.

We stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm whilst traveling in Vienna. The location is pretty good if you use the metro as it is a bit of a walk to the main attractions. Some staff at the front desk were pleasant and some weren't. We had an issue with not being able to lock our lockers with the standard locker locks we had brought with us traveling. They said our locks were too small and that's why the lock didn't work. I'm not sure why that was the case as they had worked in other hostels we stayed at but the staff gave us a different locker instead which was helpful. The room was small but very clean with a great clean bathroom. There are laundry facilities in the shared communal kitchen which was great. If you can overlook how dirty the communal kitchen is it is a great amenity also and one of the few kitchens we encountered in hostels that has an oven. We knew from the reviews and photos that the room would have 1 bunk bed and 2 single beds pushed together to form a double. We did not mind this much as we just took the bunk beds but it is something to be aware of maybe if you are solo-travelling that you may need to share a bed with a stranger. Overall had a good stay here and would stay here again.

Got in 6am after super long flight delay I was so tired, got a room with 4 beds carried my stuff only to find out someone is in my bed, the two separate beds were joined together and a couple were sleeping there romantically, asked for another room (420) carried my stuff again, I was so tired, went to the bathroom (brush and so on), when I opened the door the smell was the most horrible thing I ever smelled because the toilet was full of things and NOT WORKING AT ALL, NOT EVEN FLUSHING. I was so tired just went to sleep without the ability to use the bathroom/toilet/sink after staying up all night you tend to NEED these things. after waking up I went to change the room again, I wanted the manager to tell her all of these, she wouldn't meet me, just gave her employees her email, I send an email, did not get a reply back since yesterday morning, I WILL NOT RETURN, THIS IS MY FIRST NEGATIVE REVIEW EVER.
