The hotel is located on the banks of the Danube River. The external environment of the hotel is great. It is very pleasant to take a walk along the Danube River and see the blue Danube River! The room is clean and hygienic, the color of the furniture is Chinese-style, and the price-performance ratio is very good!

A beautiful lodge in a gorgeous location. The knowledgeable and friendly owner is a wealth of local information and ideas to make your stay even better. The rooms are beautiful and functional with fabulous views out over the valley. We had a delicious dinner there too. It’s easy walking distance to the nearby town where everything is available.

During my stay in Bhumtang (which is known as the Switzerland of Bhutan) I stayed at this really authentic yet modern resort- River Lodge. Located at a height from where the entire scenic view of Bhumtang is visible, the stay was an absolute delight. The extremely caring owner made sure that we had a great breakfast with organic apples right from his own farm. The staff was very warm and friendly, they also made sure that we were kept warm throughout in the -10 degrees freezing temperature. The market was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the town is most happening during the evenings. All in all it was a beautiful stay at a beautiful location and I would highly recommend to everyone visiting Bhumtang!

Pema Dawn and staff were so much fun. Beautiful wood lodge overlooking the river. Great local organic food from the garden. Laundry and internet... owner Pema will engage one in discussions of every subject. A knowledgeable and interesting host. We loved our stay!
