I had called 9 hotels prior to this booking searching for a suite option that allowed my mom and adult brother some privacy and no one being stuck on a pull out sofa. Chateau Victoria had a great layout option at half price of any alternatives I could find. In addition to that, the customer service agent I spoke with, Heidi, was a breath of fresh air to converse with. Unlike previous hotels I had called, Heidi asked logical, relevant questions, and listened and responded in a helpful manner to all inquiries that I had. She was knowledgeable, polite, and made booking a breeze. I will definitely book at this property again.

We stayed 3 nights at Grand Pacific Hotel. Our room (5th floor) was amazing as we had a little deck from which we could watch the ferries come & go as well as harbor traffic. Through the trees we could also see cruise ships too! Due to staff shortage there was no daily housekeeping but they would bring up towels and coffee etc as required. We only ate 2 breakfasts at the hotel but both were very good! Especially the Avocado Toast !! The hotel location was perfect as it’s walking distance to many attractions and close to the harbor taxis too. Beautiful at night with the parliament lit up and the various fountains, horse drawn carriages and harbor lights. Definitely will be back.

We stayed in the Laurel wing of the hotel in a ”partial” harbour view room with a standing balcony. Although 2 small chairs could be put on the balcony to make it more user friendly there is no patio furniture. The view was very nice & the room was clean. However, the laurel wing is certainly looking it's age. Worn & damaged baseboards in the hallways, worn carpet & the decor & furniture in the rooms are outdated. Some maintenance of the lighting & drains were needed. Shower/tub was small, cramped & dark. There is a small mini fridge & a Nespresso maker (for very small cups of coffee) but no microwave. The room was supposed to have a kettle but we had to ask for one as none was in the room. Our bed was comfortable. Housekeeping is only every 2 days & we were told that when we checked in. We didn't ask for an adjoining room & weren't told we had one. We don't care for these types of rooms due to noise. And noise there was. Lots of noise. Kids running in the hallways like it was a race track, people talking loudly, slamming doors, etc. If we wanted a slightly better room with more of a harbour view or a balcony with furniture we would have had to pay substantially more money. Everything seemed to be an additional cost at this hotel. Only water from a dispenser was free. Even a piece of fruit had a cost. The restaurant looked very nice & there is a wonderful patio area attached to it. However, prices were outrageous which prevented us from eating there. A small burger with no side was $20. There is no coffee shop to get a take out coffee or small meal. There are a few food & drink items at a kiosk by the desk that you pay for. There is a pathway that you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf & also to the downtown. Both were wonderful to walk on. It is a short walk to downtown as the hotel is outside of the main part. The staff were friendly & helpful. However we were told nothing about the amenities of the hotel when we checked in such as how to connect to wifi, where the pool was, that there is a sitting area outside the conference rooms, etc. It was on our bucket list to stay at this hotel for years. We finally took a big breath & decided to pay the price which in my opinion is too high for what you get. Because of that, regretfully we won't likely return.

We chose this hotel at the last minute, We needed something close to the Jubilee Hospital, and needed a good price. I love the location of the Huntingdon Manor. We ended up with a Euro Loft suite, which is a room with a kitchen, sofa bed, and then 3 beds upstairs. The room had everything we needed, and would work great for a girls weekend as it sleeps 5. We had a lovely harbour view. Our rate also included breakfast, and parking which is a huge bonus! The room is a bit dated, could us some new carpet for sure. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

We stayed at the Embassy Inn last weekend. We had been visiting family in the Duncan area and wanted to have a chance to check out Victoria for a day before flying home. Check in was smooth, the room was a good size, clean and had comfortable beds. A very easy walk to Government Street, Chinatown, etc. We ate in the downtown area and enjoyed taking photos of the Legislature, the VICTORIA sign and waterfront lit up at night. Breakfast was included and had quite a variety. A very walkable area and a hotel that we will return to for future visits.

It is at the edge of the tourist area but still within walking distance to town centre. Price is good. It consists of 3 apartment buildings of 3 stories each, the top level can only be accessed by stairs. My unit is a small apartment, with full kitchen along the hallway. The dinning/sitting room has a desk and 3 chairs, sofa and TV. The bedroom has a king size bed. There is no USB outlet. The whole unit is newly renovated except the shower. The ventilation in the bathroom is not good. The windows has not been upgraded so cannot close tightly and hear some traffic noise. Room view is parking lot and senior home. Your car can stop at the front for registration, parking is $10/day at the back. Number of parking spots is limited.

I'll start with the good..... free parking, hot water, power shower, daily fresh towels & coffee, iron & ironing board, good staff, microwave, kettle, Keurig, fridge. Our room was OK. However, there is no elevator. The bed creaked every time you moved, the springs were noisy & when one rolled over, the other followed suit, you both rolled together it needs a new mattress & base. The pillows were lumpy and had no substance to them even when you used two. The curtains were threadbare & paint peeling off the walls. No safe in the room. Storage & hangers are minimal. Black grout in between the tiles on the floor (needs a scrub with some grout cleaner). This doesn’t mean it wasn't cleaned as there was no hair in the sink or bath from previous occupants that we saw room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The sink was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. Pool & sauna.....pool was warm, but it needs a clean - there were live bugs in the pool we were in it approximately 10 minutes before we got out as we were grosses out, you could not see the bottom it was cloudy. The saunas are separate, one male & one female with change room facilities we didn't use them we also didn't use the fitness room. Access to the pool/sauna/fitness room, you have to go outside, walk the path , and then re-enter the building. The on-site dining....The Loft great staff with good pub food salt n pepper pork bites were very the kitchen staff worked very hard. Live music most nights but not disturbed by it. The Coachman, we had 1 breakfast there, and it wasn't great. Apparently, the chef was Grumpy that day .... maybe that's why it wasn't great? Waitress was great. All in all staff, were great, shower was powerful & hot, bed was not comfy we won't stay here again when we visit next.

We chose this hotel because of the price, location and free parking. Although the previous reviews were in part not good. At our arrival we were pleasantly surprised - the entrance area is very invited. The reception was very friendly, we received some tips that have proved very valuable. The room was modern, just a little small. There was a balcony with view of the empty pool. Specifically positive to mention is the bathroom. All very modern, heated mirrors and a flat shower. By the way, with the car, it is just a few minutes to the center.

The hotel in general was alright. Nothing too special or fancy. There was a good restaurant at the base called Bin 4. What makes this hotel not great is that from the time that we were there (3 nights), 4 car windows were smashed and broken into including our own car. There was nothing in the vehicle. It seemed just to happen for the purpose of breaking something. The worst part is the day if we had to do a 7 hour drive home taking the ferry and the Coquihalla. The hotel says there is 24/7 security and people at the hotel which just doesn’t make sense for so many vehicles being broken into. Of course the hotel isn’t ‘responsible’. May not be the place you want to stay and certainly don’t leave anything in your car.

GGuest UserMy husband and I have been visiting the Oak Bay Resort for many years, even when it was the older hotel! It is our haven and happy place. We come yearly, and perhaps twice a year when we can. The staff are very welcoming, and highly professional. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and placed in one of the most magnificent Ocean settings. Delicious food is served in the Snug Pub, as well as Faro’s ,who have recently added some wonderful new items to their pizza menu. And the mineral bath and spa overlooking the ocean is a great asset and one of our favourite spots. The hotel rooms are very spacious with big soaker tubs, and dreamy pillows and bedding. There are wonderful walks from the hotel . Within about 30 minutes you can be strolling along Willows Beach, or shopping in the delightful Oak Bay or Estevan Villages. What a great treat to go here!

GGuest UserThe rooms are enormous - I’ve lived in flats smaller than this! Everything is super-clean and all amenities are here. Our room had a little balcony on which to enjoy a morning coffee or evening sundowner. All amenities in the kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer. Large bedroom and bathroom. Great location for a ramble along to Fisherman’s Wharf or a stroll into town. As others have said, check when the restaurant is open - unfortunately, it was closed on the days we were there, but there is a supermarket close by and plenty of eateries in town.

GGuest UserBooked for my wife and I to spend some time away exploring the Victoria and area. I initially booked the ”Petite Suite” which was just a bit too cozy for us (my fault - didn't read the details). Despite the busy time, the desk staff were incredibly gracious and worked to accommodate a swap to a larger room. Unfailingly helpful and polite - they made our stay. The actual Hotel is ridiculously charming and cozy, and ideally located within walking distance of various parks, pubs, restaurants, etc. When we come back to Victoria, we'll be at the James Bay Inn!

GGuest UserThis is such a fun hotel! It’s near some busy roads, a mall, and a bunch of restaurants and such, which I guess is nice, but it’s pretty noisy and you’re not going to get a great view from your room or anything. BUT! Where to start? The rooms are clean. My kids and I loved the comic book, stickers, yo-yo, and rotary phone in our room. The hot tub is a little small, but guess what? You can soak in it and keep an eye on your kiddos as they enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool and water slide! Inside the lobby, you can find myriad board games, ping pong, “bowling,” Wii, and even old school typewriters in which you can pluck out that novel you’ve been keeping in the back of your head. The lobby Coffee is better than any in-room coffee another hotel might offer. And speaking of the lobby, the staff here is 110%! I got what I thought was an automated text asking how my state was so far. I said “meh” because we had just checked in and I wasn’t impressed with the area. I got a response from a real person right away! She provided answers to my questions and concerns and even delivered earplugs and silverware and cups to my room later when I needed them! When I was teaching my kiddo how to use a typewriter, the front desk staff didn’t hover over us or anything, just let us do our thing. Last, the little restaurant (open for breakfast and lunch) has a killer breakfast menu and such friendly staff!

GGuest UserWe were traveling with our three granddaughters for a graduation High Tea adventure. We picked Victoria BC and the Delta Marriott and we’re very pleased. Our Black Ball ferry delivered us to Victoria before check in and the desk clerk had rooms for us. The water taxi from the ferry port/Empress stop took us right to the Delta stop with all our luggage. The Rooms were comfortable, the Club Room worked out well for our large party and the server in the bar on the evening of June 29 has the best customer service. Taxis were ordered, directions happened, what a great visit to Victoria BC

GGuest UserI'm a middle school teacher in USA. I recently brought a group of 14 sixth and seventh graders on a class trip to Victoria, BC. We stayed at the Robin Hood Inn and Suites and I'm so glad we did! Here are a few of the reasons I would recommend this hotel: 1) The beds and bedding were VERY comfortable. 2) This is one of the few establishments where everything is EXCEPTIONALLY clean. 3) The staff, including the owner, was highly attentive and accommodating. (Ex: we took cabs to one of our destinations; the front dest staff called the cabs for us and then, when one of our student left his wallet in the cab, they reached out to the cab company several times to retrieve the wallet). They even gave small souvenirs to all the members of our group on the last morning of our stay. 4) The sign outside the hotel says it's the best value in Canada and that seems about right... we chose the hotel because the rooms were less than chain hotels down the road. But then Robin Hood gave us so many extras. They met us at the Clipper and took our bags back to the hotel. They offered us umbrellas for the group when it was raining. They have complementary e-bike and kayak rentals. The continental breakfast met the wide needs of our large group. The list goes on. 5) The hotel ”Great Room” is awesome. Between the pool table and the foosball table and the board games and puzzles, our students made a lot of memories. There's even a good sized ”library” in the great room that some of our prolific readers enjoyed checking out. Way more amenities in this room than you'd expect in an Airbnb or VRBO. 6) The hotel is right next to the galloping goose trail, the 11 bus line (just a few stops to downtown and we never waited more than a couple minutes for the bus), and the water taxis (aka ”pickle boats”). If you want a comfortable stay for a fair price with lots of extras, this is your spot!

In fact, the sanitary conditions of the hotel are still good, but the hotel is relatively old, but the room is still relatively large, the two beds are quite large, if you are not picky about staying 4 people is also very easy. The facilities are quite complete, and there is a small kitchen for cooking. The front desk service is good and there is a parking lot. The advantage of the hotel is away from the port, city hall, Chinatown, Biganshan Park (the starting point of Canada’s famous Highway 1 is here, the park is very large and beautiful), and it is also far from Craig Darok Castle Not far. Personally, I think it's a good place to rest during the trip, and it's also cost-effective abroad.
