Sea Breeze Cottages

We stayed here one night to explore hiking in the area and get to know a little more about what there is to see along the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. We had a nice view of the sea from our room, #9, which was comfortable, while being very simple. Perhaps it's wear and tear of being near the water, but we did notice there is need for checking some details like the door jamb and touching up the walls in the closet area. There are restaurants nearby for dinner. We enjoyed fine dining at the Crofter's Restaurant. And hiking Middle Head which was just a few kilometers away which ends with lovely views of the sea.

Organizing a family trip to celebrate the life of my ailing mother was never going to be easy, cancer is a monster. Our initial reservation was not a good timeline for my mom and I needed to cancel her booking and make a new one. I ran into a lot of trouble trying to sort it out on the website so I picked up the phone and called directly. Donna answered and helped me with everything, including a much better rate. Her kindness and patience was to be only the beginning of a wonderful experience. They are Cape Bretoners through and through, and treated us to some legendary hospitality. From a wheelchair to fresh caught and cooked crab, they were perfectly attentive to our special needs. There is not enough space here to fully explain how much they did for my family. Suffice it to say that whatever you do in this life make sure you spend some time and money at Sea Breeze, it is the closest thing there is to heaven on this earth. Say hi to Tony and Donna for me, and be easy, you are in the presence of Maritime royalty Sincerely, Pat, Greg, Natalie, Samantha, Brother (also Greg), Amanda and Logan.

Absolute garbage. Out of touch and misleading listing. All reviews with one star on this website are very consistent with my own experience and it looks like that musty smell in their cottages has gotten worse as everyone I asked confirmed. Also there is a reason why this property doesnt post real pictures from their interior. Its because they have very little to offer you. Not even the warm welcome you see around on other properties. Check with other travellers before you book.

Unfortunately our flight from Boston was canceled due to bad weather forcing us to cancel our 4 day 2 couples trip. Seabreeze refused to reimburse us with 24 hour notice...they also rebooked the room and successfully doubled their room price on two rooms that night. They refused to connect me with montrel owner. We were successful in gaining reimbursement for hotel the night our flight ocurred ( kudos to Glengarry best western in truro)...be careful if you book this hotel- they don't know how to do the right thing!

On an itinerary-free girls’ trip and decided to ride the Cabot Trail. We made last- minute reservations by phone and got a small but comfortable and very clean room. The view from the room was spectacular and the check-in and checkout process was super easy. Parking spots are designated. Only issue: Credit card was charged the quoted CA$ price in USD. Haven’t resolved that yet but we’re still road-tripping and will figure it out when we get home in a few days.

Of the many places we stayed on our 17 day vacation this property was the worst value for the money. The personal contact and service is non existent. The self serve key pick up and return is strange. The quality and condition of the unit was way outdated and cheap. This property overall is in need of some serious updating. AC units that had been installed were sealed with tape on the exterior of the units. The sheet stating the check out policy clearly indicated harsh fees for late check outs up to the full price of the fee. Way overpriced for what it offers. We are not picky travellers but this place felt like we had been ripped off. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone. If you see it, keep driving!
