The hotel itself is pretty old, the rooms are poor condition for a Lagos hotel at that rate however my room was very clean. The staff are the best and room service was excellent. The food itself isn’t the best but not the worst. Try to avoid ordering continental food and order Nigeria dishes they are delicious.

The room is not as big as expected, but it's okay. It doesn't feel crowded. Breakfast is the highlight, in line with Chinese habits You have to ask the front desk for everything, for example: slippers

Shocking stay, didn’t go one day without an issue. Day 1: Arrived at the hotel and they told me they couldn’t find my booking. Made me pay for a room at 2AM after two hours of screwing around trying to find it. (Keep in mind they also refused to pay the international banking fees so I’ve paid more than what I owed them). Early that day they miraculously found my booking and credited my room. Day 2: I paid for a meal and drinks. The payment went through on my side but they told me it was cancelled. It’s was a pending transaction so I thought it would reverse but never did. Sorting out in checkout now, waiting time 4 hours before sorted. Day 3: Ordered drinks at the bar. Bartender told me to sign for more than what I ordered. After telling her this is incorrect she raised her voice at us. We ended up having a back and forth and then she realised she was wrong. Also ordered a burger this day and it was so well-done and barely edible (didn’t send it back because I was too hungry and waited soo long for the burger) Day 4: Ordered a spiced halloumi wrap and it was it was disgusting. You can see the photos attached. Day 5: Finally checking out but it’s taken me 4 hours to leave with sorting out random payments that were added to our rooms and sorting out that payment that payment on day 2. My colleague also had a 267,000 Naira charged to his room. When questioned they looked at it and quickly removed it. Said they would print another. We then did this with another 2 line items. ***Please ask for the itemised list of everything if you have the unfortunate experience of staying here. Really feel like they are trying to swindle money from me. General bad: You walk into the reception and it’s beautiful. You walk to your room, the carpets are dilapidated and the room is tiny. I had broken plug points as well. Most staff I found generally rude. Food was terrible. General good: Cleaners and the lady checking me into breakfast were kind and always had a smile on their face. Guy singing at breakfast was great, hope you hear his rendition of house of the rising sun if there are no other options but staying here. In closing I cannot stress enough how I had nowhere near a “5 Star” experience. I have been treated and had a better experience at every other accommodation I’ve ever been to. I would stay as far away from this place as possible.

Most pathetic of all the hotels I have stayed with. It claims to be a 5 star hotel but it doesn't even qualify for a 3 star based on their level of services. Staff is completely uncooperative. They are only good at following up with the guest/s for payments. Their rooms are unclean, washrooms are dirty, ACs don't work, neither in the lobby not in the rooms. So basically, it's completely worthless to stay here. There are far better options available at a lower cost.

Sad to say this, but will never stay at the FPH in Lagos again. What you pay, and what you get, does not match, sorry. Check in was fine, except they charge you for additional food and beverage on the check in. Not a reserved payment, no, the full amount. By check out, I noticed, the amount on the invoice and the amount charged on my business credit card, did not match. I ask, if they could please credit this overcharge from their side back to my card. They tell me, no, this is not possible, I can get Naira, but they cannot reverse back to the card!! you check out on the hotel, to go to the airport, so what I need Naira for? I have ask to see the manager, but was told, he sleeps. Fine this is fair to me, but how is standing in? They could not answer this to me and just waited and served other clients. Sorry guy, this is just not on. Most of the seats in the hotel lobby are dirty or stained. To the room, the bed needs urgent changing of matrasses, as the existing ones, are really passed their days. The water out of the taps, is brown. The toilets flush, when they feel like. The hinges are broken, so the whole door is not functioning correct. At breakfast, I fetch my coffee myself, yes the one waiter was busy chatting with the one girl, and she was prettier as me, so I understand. Positive, the waiters at the bar, are very friendly and helpful. Therefore my decision, I stayed there numerous times, but sad to see how the service and the infrastructure just goes down.

Totally outdated, room stinks, stained towels & carpets, food not great and premium charges for ironing, as they wouldn’t supply iron & the board for free.

We had a poor impression of FPH as a venue for accommodation and events, but Billy Oguchi, changed our impression. His attention to our needs made our stay memorable. Because of him we plan to return next year. Some of the front desk staff were not so friendly and willing to resolve issues, but Billy was exceptional. The facilities were very good and worth advertising.
