Great stay.
Knotty Pine Cottages, Suites & Motel Rooms

We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed in one of the Sunset Cabins, and would highly recommend. Our cabin was clean and so beautiful inside — to say nothing of the unbelievable view outside the floor to ceiling windows! Our cabin didn’t have a full kitchenette (which we knew upon booking) but was stocked with virtually anything (and more) you’d need — coffee/maker, a fridge, cutlery, plates, wine glasses, napkins, etc. Check-in and out was so easy, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable. And while there isn’t a full restaurant, we were able to get pizza for dinner, and homemade pie — they also had breakfast sandwiches and a few other items available. Would absolutely stay here again.
The Iona Heights Inn

Beautiful inn with stunning view! We could see the sunrise living in the balcony floor. Although we had to pay extra for our breakfast (all-you-can-eat style), kids were free of charge. If you are lucky enough, there may be live music performance in the restaurant during your stay! Overall we had a wonderful stay in Iona Heights Inn!
Kelly's View Motel

A 14 room motel with a house attached to it. Motel is named after the mountain right across from the motel on the other side. The door to our room is a bit hard to open, needs a strong push to open it. We got Room #5. The room is spacious and smells a bit weird. The bathroom is an alright size. The windows are full length. There's wifi here, though the strength of the wifi gets weaker the farther you are away from the main reception area. There's only 3 light sources in the room, excluding the 1 light in the bathroom. It's rather dim. There's no AC, there's a fan in the room. The screen for the window is broken, so a huge bug got in. The walls are thin. You can hear the flush of the toilet and probably the sound of the shower too. While showering, the water kept on turning cool even though I had it turned on the hot water side. The toilet is broken. It won't flush. The bed is really hard. Great for people who like hard beds. Not great for people who can't sleep on hard beds. Everyone else slept alright. My back hurts. It's good that we only stayed here for 1 night. Staying for 1 night here is enough. Wouldn't recommend staying here any longer.
Silver Dart Lodge
4.2/5101 Reviews
My family and I decided to stay here during a trip to Cape Breton where we had planned to explore the famous Cabot Trail. We were told that the town of Baddeck makes a great hub for starting out and returning back to from the trail. Within Baddeck, Silver Dart Lodge stood out with its clean and comfortable atmosphere - from the lodge's stunning and expansive frontage with a beautiful view of the Bras D'Or Lake to the staff's wonderful hospitality, we enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was clean and had a very picturesque and wonderful view of the lake. We also wanted to extend a very big Thank You to Denise and her staff for welcoming us, extending such gracious hospitality, and making our visit a very memorable one!
Inverary Resort
3.8/5100 Reviews
The resort is right by the water and takes only a few minutes to drive to the village where there are little shops, bakeries and restaurants. We got the traditional two queen beds. The room was small, dated and very humid. We were on the first ground floor. Our friends were next to us and their room was moist/ humid too. Another family was on the second floor and it was not as humid. There are no elevators so if you have trouble with stairs you may have to request ground level. The pool was a hit for our kids. The adventure centre has water sports equipment avail for $. They have spike ball for free. Some of our members spent time at the nightly fire and enjoyed meeting new guests and spending time chatting. The daily breakfast was good as it was included. Get there early. Order from a menu style. Service at the breakfast was good. The grounds are pretty. I think for the price of the resort made the stay acceptable. If it was any more I am not sure I would recommend because of the dated rooms and humidity. There is a laundromat in town if you need. I went to get coffee every morning in town at the wheeler cafe. New owners and they just opened six weeks ago. Lovely little wee town.
