Best Hotels in Victoria, Malta

The service was exelent by very professional and helpful staff. Food (breakfast) was very good and well organised. Inroom facilities is also very excellent and the room was literally spotless. The A/C really was the cherry on the cake. I been to a vast number of hotels in Malta and this is really one of the top choices for me.

The room is mini, but very clean and comfortable. The supporting restaurant is excellent. Excellent location, within walking distance of citalic. There is also a Greens supermarket nearby.

We stayed on the older side of the hotel. Room smelt of damp and when we complained they came in and bleached the floors nothing else. There was only one socket in the room which kept crackling. The breakfast was average but we went up the road to Debbie’s Cafe which was great. The pool upstairs was good with nice views but the drinks were overly priced. We had a couples massage “Back, shoulders and neck”. My other half only had his neck massaged. I had all parts it felt good but later that day I experienced some horrific neck pain and felt as though a muscle had twinged. Not worth the price we paid. We went to the Thai Fusion restaurant the views were great but I wasn’t over impressed with my dish to start as is was a red curry in soup water, thankfully they took it back and the taste wasn’t so bad. Again felt it was over priced for what it was. Over all hotel was okay, but the services within were very overly priced. I also think had our room been on the renovated side we would of been more positive on our review as our room was outdated and stunk of damp.

We recently returned to the Paradise Bay resort a year on from getting married there on the beach outside the Porto Lounge. The hotel is amazing, whatever room you have you are going to have a view either of Paradise bay with its beach and constant coming and goings of yachts and speed boats, people swimming in the clear blue waters or on the other side, looking out over the south Comino straight with all its water traffic and the ferry port with the constant activity of the ferries going over to Gozo. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, fridge and TV, although English channels are few and far between, and are well cleaned everyday. It may not be to everyone’s choice as it is a little isolated but the excellent bus service from right outside the door can take you wherever you want to be around this beautiful island and buses run every few minutes and for just 2 euros you can go to the next stop or the other end of the island, can’t fault them. The hotel has a choice of four swimming pools, three outdoor and one indoor, including a small jacuzzi, all are well maintained, clean and certainly no shortage of sun loungers. The inside public areas are clean and comfortable and the restaurant the same, however, although the quality of the food served in the restaurant is good, choices can be a little limited and sometimes we found the table turnaround was a bit chaotic, with people wandering around looking for a clean prepared table, that said we never had to wait too long and enjoyed everything we did have to eat. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the Paradise Bay resort to anyone and we will certainly be returning there in the future.

Myself and my fiancé visited this resort and it was an excellent hotel, in a lovely part of Malta. The hotel was very clean, with very nice and obliging staff who were extremely helpful. The breakfast offered a great choice of foods including continental style, cooked traditional English breakfast foods, as well as cold meats and cheeses with an array of pastries. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely shower and bath facility, as well as a balcony to relax on. The resort has its own private beach area which is only a short walk away, as well as having 2 outdoor swimming pools. The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, and always left the rooms looking fresh and new. The bar area is very welcoming and relaxing providing a good choice of cocktails at a fair price. I would 100% come back here, and although this is my first visit to Malta, so I do not have anything to compare it to in terms of other hotels in Malta, I would say that it has been a brilliant experience so far staying here and have enjoyed every minute of it

The location is OK, just go to the pier where the boat is on the island of Gozo. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. It is very close to the center. The waiters are super nice. Please say hello, breakfast is OK. There is a suggestion. The bathroom can have a shower curtain. Splashing everywhere, it’s terrible. In the winter, the cold smells more and takes a shower, and the water flows into the house. I hope to adopt it.

We stayed here as part of a tour group for 3 nights and the positives certainly outweighed the negatives. So let's start with the positives. The hotel has a 24 hour reception, which certainly assisted our group, as we didn't arrive until after midnight - and the check-in and help from the staff was excellent. That excellence was maintained for our entire stay. The hotel is well located amongst dozens of restaurants and overlooked the harbour. We were fortunate enough to have a room overlooking the harbour and small beach, with the room being large and roomy, although the bathroom relatively small. We had a table and chairs, air con, hair dryer, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. The hotel's own amenities included a rooftop pool and large terrace area with banana lounges and umbrellas, plus an indoor bar on the rooftop. There was also a restaurant in the hotel (which we didn't use for dinner) and breakfast was good, with real orange juice, proper bread to toast (compared to a number of other hotels we had stayed at) and a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. The negatives were that the hotel is a bit dated and tired and in need of a spruce up, from top to bottom. Plus, unfortunately our shower/bath had a leak, which we did report to reception. Notwithstanding that, we were very happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Staff excellent - informative & friendly - we were upgraded to a balcony studio room overlooking village square & right next to church (possibly helped by fact our friend live in Xwekija). No noise from village or church bells disturbed our sleep. One downside was the rain which soaked the lounger seats . Not noticeable until you sat on them & got rather wet (we learned to bring them inside to prevent reoccurrence). Room cleaned daily & existing covid rules were followed. Sheets, towels changed as requested. Comfy bed. Wish there had been a notice on the jacuzzi bath informing us of their closing off of shower spray (apparently previous guests had been leaving it switched on) to prevent flooding of floor below. Was surprised that we weren’t regularly provided with drinking water although tea/coffee facilities provided. When I asked about the water we were given some more though told it wasn’t policy. Breakfast provided in restaurant next door. Tasty but enormous portions unless you were more specific in your order (which could do). Bus service to other parts of island (including the ‘tourist bus) at side of hotel - outside church. Could get equivalent of our day rider system which could also use on ferry if within time limits (could also get weekly pass). Would go there again or try one of the other Quaint hotels group on Gozo

After much deliberation for location and hotel for our stay in Malta we chose 'The Regency Plaza, Sliema*' and after a fantastic week here we know that we chose well. Very happy with the hotel from the reception - happy to help with anything and everything, baggage storage (until our room was ready), our room, the bed, the view, the pool (outdoor one is blooming cold but who cares!), the breakfast choice to most importantly, location! It's important to know that *Sliema is massive and where the ferries go from. This hotel is quite a distance from there (although easily walkable) and is actually situated in Exiles Bay (Bus stop is actually Antik - right outside the hotel) a much quieter and prettier area. We were put on the 5th floor and were so glad as the views were superb and also the outside noise isn't as intense, but the sliding door to the balcony is very effective at cutting out the noise anyway. I loved to sit and watch the world go by early morning and evening - people jogging, walking, taking dogs for a walk or the may electric scooters whizzing by. We had no trouble sleeping nor did we hear any other noise (like music or road traffic etc). There are a couple of nice bars/restaurants opposite the hotel and directly out of the hotel entrances (yes, there are two receptions and entrances) is a pizza place (which you walk through to get in) and a Costa Coffee shop. Our room was a reasonable size and had all the amenities we needed - safe, hairdryer, plenty storage, a nice shower (but you do have to pay extra for coffee making facilities) but the toilet took forever to re-fill after a flush - a tad annoying but nothing I'd really moan about. The shower had some marks on the grouting but overall the room was very clean and the maids came everyday. Bed was comfortable and blackout curtains ensured a good nights sleep. Breakfast was a very, very typical European hotel offering. Cooked sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes etc. Plenty choice of break, fruit, meats and cheese. Lovely fresh cooked warm croissants with a choice of jams, chocolate sauce and more. Coffee and juice via machines and waitresses very efficently cleaning up after you as soon as you are done, so no clutter of plates on tables etc. As mention, the top floor swimming pool was excellent but really cold. We found this both bracing and refreshing on the warmer days, plenty of sunloungers, a pool bar and mutliple level seating (as there are two sides to the hotel, you can cross over). We got a 7 day bus travel card for €21 each and we used them to death as it is so simple to get anywhere on the island by bus. They are clean, frequent and convenient. The bus stops are right outside the hotel for either direction. They can get full during 'rush hours' but that's always part of the charm of travel by bus we find! The location of the hotel we found was perfect, not only for bus/ferry travel but for bars and restaurants and even swimming. There is a wide pedestrian boulevard that

Well, what a great hotel. We arrived on the opening day after a name change from the last hotel name (same owners, different name) We was meant to go to Las Vegas but it didn't happen so we went to Malta. The Hotel was stll being refurbished but a lot of the rooms was open, We was given room 3124 a gorgeous room, with a really nice view. We was shown to our room by Vikky (Viktoria, the Guest Relations Manager) after being checked in by Natalia (i think) We also got a bottle of wine for our long awaited honeymoon as our honeymooon kept being cancelled including the Las Vegas one. As Hilton Diamond members we get breakfast included in our room rate, Breakfast is an expansive affair with far too much to choose from, i went for Salad, i know, crazy right. but topped it off with a nice omelette. The outdoor pool is small but very good, the indoor pool much larger but far too hot for us. Service is great and fast, they was always out taking orders and bringing drinks quickly so you could enjoy more outdoor time. After a few days of being there we asked if we could upgrade to All Inclusive which turned out to be very good, we'd done everything we wanted to do in St Paul's bay so wanted to hang in or near the hotel. All the food is delicious and drinks, although confusing of what was allowed for AI customers, i made the suggestion of having a drinks menu of what drinks ARE allowed as we got a lot of you 'can't have that' A few members of staff made our stay really fantastic and always took the time to say hi and have a great conversation. These include Vikki (GRM) Lorenzo (bar supervisor) Jason in the same bar, always happy, always friendly and Desislav Juniper bar and other staff that we just didn't get their names. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main Square with a vast amount of shops, bars and restaurants. This used to be the old Dolmen Hotel and they have retained a lot of their staff, it's been nice seeing them adapt to a new system which can be challenging but they will get there in time. At the time of writing this review, there still are building works going on but getting less and less as its all getting finished.
