The hotel has a cozy vibe and only 20 rooms. It offers a butler-style concierge service, but be aware that things move at a slower pace, which I guess is just part of the African experience. The views of the Zambezi National Park from the communal lounge were unreal, especially at sunset. We booked a suite at the Safari Club, which featured a small lounge area with a couch and chairs. However, the room’s layout didn’t fully meet expectations. The lounge area was rather dark, with limited natural light due to its positioning and a small window. This made the space less inviting to use, and we found ourselves spending more time on the bed or at the desk where the lighting was better. The furniture felt somewhat dated, which detracted from the otherwise luxurious experience. The open-plan bathroom was spacious, with a rainfall shower, a freestanding bathtub, and a single basin. Despite the ample space, the suite lacked a view of the large watering hole, which is one of the property’s main attractions. The room does overlook a small watering hole that seems to attract birds, but none of the big animals that we saw visit the watering hole directly in front of Victoria Fall Safari Lodge, which is situated on the same property. Additionally, the proximity to the family rooms and the nearby Drum Restaurant meant occasional noise, which could be bothersome if you’re seeking complete tranquillity or a romantic weekend without children. The Safari Club is worth considering, particularly if you’re seeking luxury and a close connection to nature. However, if uninterrupted peace and the best views are a priority, you might want to explore the rooms at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, which overlook the watering hole where you would be able to see buffalo, elephant, buck etc from your room and are further from the Drum Restaurant. Tip for the hotel owners or management - Despite the hotel having all my passport information, including my date of birth, no staff member acknowledged that I celebrated my birthday while staying with them. It would have been an extremely nice gesture that showed they truly offered a personalised experience, and it would have taken seconds to do.

I could not imagine a better place from which to experience the Victoria Falls. I am recommending it to my friends.

The white glove level of service at this hotel was superior to most places I've stayed in the world. The property is also great. But it was really the little details related to service that made my time there exceptional. Everyone is so friendly, and the little touches like free laundry, shuttle to town, drinks each afternoon, wonderful breakfast, it helps guest enjoy a VIP level of treatment.

We booked this because 'the best' hotels were unavailable for our chosen night. This seemed to be the best option and had great reviews. Why not great: - it's $700 per night and there isn't even a sitting area in the room (def not suite). Just a chair. Enormous bathroom but barely enough room to pass around the bed. - free laundry, but they destroy your clothes. One t-shirt literally came back with massive black stains and torn. Like it was eaten by a warthog. - we were told that food was unavailable for lunch in the club restaurant and sent to the 'pub' at the other hotel. Just lazy in the club kitchen? Inedible food and poor service. Awful quality. - food at the club is ok, but some misses. My wife couldn't finish her main course. Breakfast was fine, but I expect fresh juices etc at these prices. You can get a delicious fresher breakfast in town (which we did the next day) It was fine. Zimbabwe is absurdly expensive anyway. But don't expect much for your money.

We loved our stay at Victoria Falls Safari Club! A very special thank you to the (housekeeping) staff who found my daughter's special toy after we had left and managed to send it on to Harare overnight (!) so that she got it back before we left Zimbabwe. Amazing! And thank you to all the other staff who made our stay most enjoyable! We will be back in this lovely place!

We stayed for a couple of nights whilst we visited Victoria Falls. It is a lovely hotel, the staff are very helpful, the hotel is clean, there are all the facilities, the food is excellent, you need with a shuttle bus running into the town regularly.US dollars are the main currency in the area. We went to see the Falls early in the morning so beat the rush which was good, take a waterproof, you will get wet.

Absolutely incredible hotel. Honeymoon trip and it couldn’t have been any better. Best views in Vic Falls, the service was immaculate. The food was amazing and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Following 11 days on Safari in Zambia, our stay at The Safari Club was the perfect segway back into 'civilisation'. After the solitude and peace of our safari camps, we appreciated the location of The Safari Club - superbly blending sophistication with serenity - overlooking a natural vista and wildlife. For us, it would have been unnatural and jarring to adjust to a totally man-made world. With its own gorgeous private lounge area, bar and restaurant, we felt 'special' and spoiled. Whilst we had become accustomed to exceptional service and charm throughout our Safari experiences, a very special mention goes to Persuade, Ashley and Wayne - members of the Reception/Restaurant team, who couldn't have been more gracious or helpful. Complimentary cocktails at 5.30pm were a bonus and all meals served were excellent. I particularly appreciated being able to safely walk around the extensive grounds and catch up on some much-needed exercise after days sitting in game-drive vehicles. Rooms well appointed and lots of lovely HOT water.

Excellent and very relaxed stay. A very good way to see the Victoria Falls while experiencing a different ambience out of town. The hourly bus service run by the hotel made this very easy. The staff were amazingly helpful.
