The Courtney Lodge

The property features well-maintained facilities, spacious and comfortable rooms, exceptional service, and a convenient location near attractions. Guests also enjoyed delicious breakfast options served on the terrace.

The buildings and grounds are peaceful and beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and the housekeeping is impeccable. Clive and Leslie run a very good boutique hotel, however, this would mean nothing if it were not for the fantastic staff. I have stayed in some very high end hotels and resorts, but the staff at Courtney Lodge treat you in a way that makes you feel truly special. Their smiles and actions are sincere, they truly want your stay to be the best ever. Taku, the manager, was incredibly helpful making transportation arrangements and providing information about activities and restaurants. The housekeepers, Rudo, Nissi and Blessed, were tirelessly working to keep the room ready for you at the end of the day and constantly cleaning around the property. But the one thing that truly impressed us was their cook Danny, who prepared great breakfasts and incredible dinners. He and Clement and Kudzi, made meals and our stay in general, very special. No matter how late we returned to the lodge, Clement was there at the door to greet us and ask about our day. They do everything with genuine smiles and warmth, even the grounds keeper, Balance, always had a smile and a kind greeting. If you come to Victoria Falls, you have to experience The Courtney Lodge!

We stayed for a couple of nights in The Courtney Lodge and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, sitting in the garden with a swimming pool after visiting the Falls, having a drink after dinner in the evenings. The rooms were perfect and had a little private terrace. The friendly manager Taku and his staff helped us to arrange transport, booked a game drive and a helicopter flight for us and made our stay unforgettable.
