Smugglers Inn Studio Apartments

The apartment is in a great location, close to a range of cafes and restaurants, and a short walk from the causeway to Granite Island. It was nicely fitted out with lovely towels, toiletries and breakfast supplies. However, the location within the complex was not easy to find, and up a set of concrete stairs which we found difficult to negotiate, especially whilst carrying items. Those with mobility issues may want to think twice. The access door also requires two hands to open with the key. The view from the balcony is of a car yard, and the (tiny) swimming pool is in a very unwelcoming situation just off the carpark. Another apartment actually opens onto the swimming pool, creating more disincentive to use it.

Beautiful little quiet apartment, easy walking distance to the waterfront attractions and restaurants. The building is rather interesting (built 1800’s), beautifully renovated (we were in 15) and lovely touch to have breakfast supplies left for us. Highly recommended!

Centrally located but far enough away from the Main Street which is currently being upgraded with lots of noise and dust. Parking is onsite. The units are large and stocked with everything you need. They are starting to look a little tried and in need of a refurb. There is plenty of space and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet, we slept very well.
