The hotel is in a good location, about 15 minutes walk from Gare de Vichy. Close to the city center park, Opéra and other areas, not too far from several major attractions. There are fewer vehicles and pedestrians near the hotel at night and it is very quiet at night. There is almost no public transportation around, but the city is not too big, walking is the main way. The hotel's bistrot is good (sighs for dinner, about 1520 euros). Overall Ibis is recommended.

There is only one '5 star' hotel in Vichy, which is a shame given the town's great history of hospitality. And even this one doesn't deserve to be put in the top category and should be 4 star instead. Prices though are relatively high. The rooms are tired, in particular the bathrooms, and in fact the whole hotel has seen better times. The rooftop pool is small, mostly indoors and in high season was overcrowded. On the positive side, the location is perfect and the restaurant is very nice. When we were there in August a lot of effort was made with an outdoor grill, music and even fireworks. Quality of the food was good, as we service. Overall this probably is still the best place to stay in town, but how wonderful would it be to see a real 5 star hotel being (re)opened in Vichy!

A good place the hotel is very well located near parks and the city center. Very clean and calm. Service is good, The staff is very friendly and welcoming.The breakfast is plentiful and varied. I suggest to the hotel to continue in its approach in favor of the environment, to accentuate it and to clearly indicate and explain the steps they are taking in this direction, for example indicating the name of the local producers with whom they work. and places of production.

Just one night last week. The hotel was good and bad - excellent public areas and indispensable private parking. Also, the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Maybe we were just unlucky, but being honest our room was on the shabby side of tired and in real need of a refresh. We were also bemused by the door to the toilet / shower which wasn't a door at all but one of those swinging, half doors you see in the bars in cowboy films. You need to very familiar with each other and hardly romantic. But what saves the hotel is the restaurant. We enjoyed perhaps the best €25 three course menu in the whole of France, cooked and served by top, top professionals. I suppose we'd be happy to go back - just that we'd ask for a different room next time.

Confortable reception, good sized room, clean, parking on premises. Only critical remark: I have now experienced already in two Mercure hotels that instead of a normal sized desk a much smaller substitue is provided, which do not find practical.
