501 Hotel

Restaurant experience in this structure whose position dominates the gulf with a splendid breathtaking view... we had dinner on Saturday... Very kind staff and excellent quality food. Very welcoming and well organized place. Fairly fast service, well cooked dishes and set with a touch of class by the super Chef Filippo n.1... very very professional....

It was a nice hotel in the 70s. It has remained almost the same. And that is not a compliment. Aside from the structure that deserves a more decisive overhaul than the one they claim to have done years ago, the services provided are no longer up to the standard of a decent hotel. In the room for two there is only one towel and one bath towel. We thought it was a mistake, but our friends in the other room also received similar treatment. In the breakfast room, no one to welcome you and when you approach the counter to ask for a cappuccino, the staff ignore you and happily continue their conversation. The hairdryer in the bathroom is just powerful enough to dry slowly, certainly not to style your hair with a brush. The welcome kit is limited to the essentials. Don't even think for a moment about slippers. In the minibar there are two solitary bottles of water. In the corridors the carpet is worn and in some places even torn. Website "under construction" (who knows when and who knows for how much longer). In conclusion, from a renowned hotel to a decadent hotel that is absolutely not up to its 4 stars. Those who stay there may well think that Calabria must make a leap in quality in terms of professional hospitality. Urgently.

As many years at the end of vacation I always spend one or two nights in this hotel to visit the wonderful places nearby. I was a little disappointed with the breakfast not worthy of a 4 star hotel.. (I have a lot of experience in 4 or 5 star hotels on breakfast etc..) this breakfast compared to last year very poor, I asked for a scrambled egg it seemed like I had asked for the moon.. Mha!!! In the end ok don't worry I don't want it anymore they had forgotten. In the end a very inexperienced waiter boy with poor skills in the kitchen (he told me that it needs an egg or two I'll go and make them immediately.. I don't worry he insisted ok I accept) the egg arrives worse than an omelette... honestly a 4 star hotel without the scrambled eggs with bacon portion seems absurd to me.. better not to comment on the breakfast. The rest ok everything excellent except the shower I recommend a small shower head it is more comfortable to shower. The rest cleaning ok location staff reception ok Everything good except breakfast which for me is very important.

"Hotel 501" is a hotel with large spaces not enhanced, old and dirty furniture, the room a suite with carpet gave me the feeling of dirty and heavy furniture not fresh breathtaking view. Breakfast 🍳☕ lacking in products from the buffet area very poor and disappointing. Very large and beautiful swimming pool except for a small incident with a fairly large mouse encountered in the changing room adjacent to the pool never change I recommend we only had lunch once nothing exceptional. Old hotel never seen such a horrible hotel..... carpet full of stains horrible but then they don't bring the carpet in the rooms anymore it's a sign of poor hygiene.... the fridge in the room if you can call it a fridge the next day full of water there is absolutely no bar corner in the room... I took a double bed plus a cot the double bed was divided... let's not talk about the disgusting bathroom when you turn on the hot water it comes out rust colored then the shower head the jet is so strong that you can't even adjust the hair dryer if you can call it that it's just a tube.... the swimming pool?? Let's forget about the view only this hotel can have beautiful if you get a room with a sea view otherwise settle for a parking view.... the only but really the only thing that can be saved is the breakfast but it's the only thing anyway at the price we paid for 2 nights we would have found better even with dinner included with the difference of 30 euros more we would have found much much better..... my family and I will never ever return to this hotel....
