We booked a room without a balcony as none was available at the time. When we arrived, we asked if there was one with a balcony still available, which was answered in the negative. We then went to our rooms (Duca or something similar) - a disaster! You can get locked in the basement straight away. A room like this shouldn't even be allowed to be rented out. We then asked the lady at reception to give us another room (otherwise we would have looked for another hotel). She was very, very nice and came back with four keys to other rooms (two of which had a balcony, which was funny since they said there weren't any available anymore.) Of course there was an extra charge, but that's okay. The room with a balcony was acceptable. The furniture is very old and the rooms are all generally small. So if you want to go there, I would take the largest and most expensive room. The entire villa is very noisy. You hear EVERYTHING. The advantages are that you are right on the beach and everything important is close by. The promenade is very loud, but you know that if you book a hotel directly on the beach. The parties last until about an hour at night on weekends (impossible to sleep). But the staff was very nice.
