We found Hotel l'Oustal after having difficulty finding an affordable small hotel or AirBNB for 5 people. We were traveling with 3 adults and 2 smaller children. However, because we totaled 5, most booking engines served us larger establishments/rooms that were above our budget. After calling several places, a proprietor suggested Hote l'Oustal. We were able to book a family room - essentially a suite with separate sleeping areas (one on the ground floor and a second in a loft) with a shared bathroom. The staff was very helpful, helping us book a taxi for the day of our departure, and then making follow up calls when our train was canceled and we needed to reschedule the taxi to another city. The swimming pool was refreshing at the end of the long, hot day. The beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioning was great. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and featured local cheeses, as well as a variety of fruits, proteins, and breads. The hotel also had a small bar to satisfy guests with a light dinner. The hotel was an easy drive to Sarlat, Domme and all the other sights of the Dordogne region.

Seven friends and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel l'Oustal de Vezac in September 2024 and very much enjoyed our stay - the rooms, the swimming pool and the patio/terrace. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners were very helpful in making taxi, restaurant and river canoe trip bookings. The one drawback of the hotel for cyclists is that the hotel restaurant does not serve dinner and the nearest restaurants are a 1 km. or more walk or cycle away (OK in daylight, less so at night) and taxi service may be limited.

Friendly welcoming owners with lovely food and rooms. Great views of the countryside and fantastic breakfast. Good swimming pool too. Convenient for local tourist venues. A car is essential Air conditioning in the bedrooms is very efficient

Amazing hotel with a great family room. The shower was great. There are plenty of things to do in the area. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The view from our room was amazing. Pool looked very nice, but we didn't have a chance to use it.

Such a great clean tidy friendly hotel. I was the Granny with my family and it’s a great all encompassing place to stop en route to our home in the Pyrenees. Easy to do the route through the Auverne which is fabulous but so glad we did the detour and did the Toulouse route to Prades /Urbanya our destination. Hotel Oustale won’t disappoint I promise. My husband and I have booked for our return stop for 2 night stop in October en route (compulsory) to UK.

The hotel is very well located to visit the many touristic places around. It has very nice owners, personnel ready to help whenever you need. The rooms are clean, modern and well equipped. Some of them have a great terrace also with pool view. The pool area is awesome with a wonderful view on the surrounding hills and castle, equipped with sunbeds.

We stayed there 2 nights. The hotel is well located because it is close to the tourist attractions of the region while being in the peace and quiet of the countryside. The setting is very pleasant, the swimming pool is large and well equipped (deckchairs, parasol). The hotel itself is almost a vacation spot. The room is quite large and the bed comfortable, as are the pillows. Note the presence of a courtesy tray. The bathroom was also spacious and equipped with a walk-in shower. The cleaning was very well done. In short, we had a very good stay, we will come back without hesitation and recommend this establishment.
