Oste del Castello is a hidden gem. The hotel is exceptionally well run, with wonderful and warmly attentive service. Al Mastin Vecchio, the hotel restaurant, is deserving of a Michelin star (or two).

The name innkeeper of the castle already suggests that this structure was born as a good quality tavern. In fact, the catering part is of an excellent standard, with very friendly staff and excellent quality of food. The problem arises when referring to the accommodation facility: in fact the four stars awarded are absolutely excessive. The rooms are not comfortable, and in any case not up to 4 star standards. The staff appears approximate, the quality/price ratio of the rooms is negative. And here perhaps we should open a general parenthesis: the majority of Italians, after having been under house arrest due to Covid, seem to accept any price for any structure. Now, paying €200 per night for this modest structure in Verucchio clearly seems counterintuitive. There is really no value for money. It's not clear to me how long tourists will tolerate exorbitant prices for modest facilities: probably one day all this will end, and the castle inn will be one of the first to pay the price.

The spa is small and nice but the service is lacking, there is no herbal tea, nothing only cold water. In the package in which I added an hour of exclusive spa, the bottle was included in the room but it didn't arrive. I was a little disappointed

I stayed one night with my family in this hotel, excellent breakfast and dinner in the attached restaurant. The room was very small and the third bed did not exist. There was an armchair which when opened became a cot with a mattress on which it was impossible to sleep. Spa very small.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel io e il mio compagno per una gita fuori porta. Hotel ben posizionato e personale molto cordiale e gentile. La spa è piccola e graziosa, perfetta per rilassarmi un pochino dal momento che c'è tutto l'essenziale. L'unica pecca che ho riscontrato è che le regole per la spa non vengono più di tanto rispettare, in primis la receptionist ci ha detto che era obbligatorio la cuffia per accedere alla spa, non avendola siamo stati costretti ad acquistarla in hotel e alla fine nessuno la indossava e la coppia che era in turno con noi non ne sapeva niente della cuffia. In secondo c'era scritto che i ragazzi sotto i 18 anni non sono ammessi alla spa, anche se accompagnati, però il turno dopo di due era prenotato per una famiglia con una bimba piccola... non è per criticare ma è per fare il punto su questa situazione. Abbiamo cenato anche nel ristorante convenzionato con l'hotel e abbiamo mangiato davvero bene, piatti molto deliziosi e abbastanza abbondanti, personale cordiale e molto gentile.

Trovato per caso sul web una vera chicca! Sicuramente aiuta il borgo splendido ma davvero una bella struttura, camera piccolina ma pulita e funzionale, SPA molto carina, colazione ottima, che dire? Inutile scrivere dello splendore della parte ‘vecchia’. Da tornarci! Una vera sorpresa è stato trovare nel bagno il monodose per igiene intima, mai trovato nei millemila hotel visti! Top.

Personale gentilissimo e preparato. Ottima anche l'esperienza con la massaggiatrice (massaggio rilassante più massaggio e trattamento viso) e la Spa (con bagno turco, sauna e piscina con idro-massaggio). Nella foto panorama visto dalla camera da letto. Molto consigliato soprattutto per coppie, ambientazione molto romantica.
