I've been engaged for 25 years in a job (coaching and training) in location similar to this one. In Relais Monastero Sant'Alberico I've found the best in term of hospitality, food, accomodation. But the real plus has been the discovery of a terrific location in a wild Nature. High rating place for relax but even to work out of the box.

The structure is very particular, welcoming and the staff extremely kind. You can take interesting walks in the area, but also a weekend of pure relaxation are the best for this impeccably renovated Ancient Monastery. The restaurant's cuisine offers a valid à la carte menu and the courtesy of the staff is genuine.

After having traveled 350 km to arrive at this facility at 11.30 in the morning a car blocked the road and was unable to go up the hill that leads out of the monastery valley because of the ice that covered it. The gentleman had winter tires and had to put on chains to be able to go up the hill. We reversed back onto the asphalt road before the barrier at the entrance to the monastery road. After parking the car, once we got out we realized that there was a layer of ice there too that made it difficult to even walk. After contacting the facility they suggested we leave the car there and offered to come and pick us up. Honestly, it doesn't seem like a good idea to leave the car in a parking lot that looks like a frozen lake, with the risk of someone crashing into it. When I refused and complained they told me that I would lose my deposit. Now these are not the conditions in which a road that leads to a hospitality facility should be, unless it is a mountain refuge. In addition to paying I also have to put the car at risk. Not only that, after a while the manager calls me saying that I had dreamed it, that I had the wrong hotel. Absurd. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and the road conditions. The day before I had also asked if there was snow and they told me that the road was clean

Unfortunately we are not there. I wanted to celebrate my partner's birthday. I booked 2 months in advance, already seen all the details even for the cake, the only surprise that worked out luckily, but everything else really disappointed me. The birthday package included: overnight stay, breakfast and dinner included with cake, couple massage and SPA €480. This was agreed. We arrived at the monastery, I was presented with a bar for the entrance where I had to enter a code that should have been sent to me by email, never arrived, and that's fine, they let us in. We had the SPA for 2 hours from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and then at 5:00 pm a couple massage, booked the day before because unfortunately no one had shown up (yeah if you book 2 months in advance it's a problem to make an appointment...). Ok, I'll move on to this aspect too, we enter the SPA at 4:00 pm, because in 30 minutes they make you sign papers, privacy etc... and ok... it's 5:00 pm and unfortunately an unexpected accident happens to a person who slipped in the SPA and our couple's massage is cancelled. They ask us if we want to do it for 7:00 pm, to which I also say no, since I had other intentions, like having an aperitif and relaxing and then going to dinner. At this point after the aperitif, where they don't even bring you a napkin that we then asked for, we go to dinner. I order a French wine from Burgundy, it's not available! They offer me another, ok I accept! We order and the couple next to us asked to have a wine that they no longer had twice... total embarrassment, the couple then agreed on a local wine... no comment. Food neither good nor bad, in my opinion really generous portions but nothing special. The average is €25 per dish! We go to bed and then breakfast, with frozen and reheated pastries.... come on... is this luxury? Tired of all this I go to pay, I am presented with a bill of €780 for 1 night. And I say, ok look there must be a mistake, the massage could not be done because you called the ambulance that arrived after 1 hour to assist the person who fell. "Ah sorry my colleague did not write it down", the wine was €60 and the aperitif €30, I should have paid €330 + wine + aperitif. A couple next to us (without birthday offer) with dinner and overnight stay paid the same as us, maybe less or €312, which I overheard since I was there, except that they also added dinner to my bill. Total €680! for 1 night and a non-existent service. I received the survey to fill out via email after about 2 days, so I pointed out the error, but I didn't expect a response, instead, they apologized and said, don't worry, we'll offer you €250 for the mix-up at our Monastery, or the difference you paid if you leave us the bank transfer. Look, make the bank transfer and we'll call it a day. As of today, 1 month has passed and no one has heard from me and the bank transfer never arrived. Is this luxury? Paying

A perfect place for lovers of nature, trekking and relaxation. The structure is a finely restored monastery in a suggestive valley at high altitude. Everything is extremely well looked after, from the cleanliness of the rooms, to the restaurant, to the SPA. It is a magical place, to which we will gladly return.

And the second experience at the hotel, every occasion is good to stop even just for one night 🌙 A magical place where breathing slows down and where nature is the companion of your time. Walks among the silence of the place, breakfasts pampered by the experience of staff. And restful nights in welcoming rooms🙏
