We had a week at this beautiful hotel from 9th to 16th June. It was part of a 40th wedding anniversary. We were given room 310, a deluxe suite, which was lovely and spacious with two balconies overlooking the lake. All the staff were very friendly, in particular the team on reception who were extremely helpful. We ate two nights in the restaurant, and what was a really nice touch was the manager came round and spoke of all the guests who were dining. The hotel is in a peaceful location right on the edge of the lake and the architecture and furnishings are of a classical design. It is conveniently situated only about a 8-10 minute walk into the main square of Pallanza where you can get the ferry to the various little islands and Stresa. There are some nice little restaurants on the square and one which is just before the main square called II Burchiello. To all the staff and manager, a big thank you for making our stay memorable.

We recently stayed for 3 nights as part of our Viking river cruise pre-extension. Our Viking pre-extension was originally scheduled for Lake Como but then changed to Lake Maggiore and we feel like that was the BEST thing that could have happened! Hotel exceeded our expectations. Room was spacious and clean, large bathroom with great shower. No USB ports or US plugs so you definitely need an adapter, but that's to be expected. Short 5-10 min walk into Pallanza. We loved the outdoor lawn area and had wonderful service setting up loungers and towels for us and we enjoyed taking a chilly dip in the lake. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. Enjoyed a delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced dinner on site with a beautiful view of the grounds. Our favorite way to end our day was with cocktails either in the bar area or outside on the terrace expertly made by the most charming bartender, Lorenzo. Lorenzo is an asset to this hotel and made us feel special and welcome each night. We were disappointed that we didn't get to see him to thank him and say arrivederci.

Very nice hotel, very kind and professional staff at the reception, bar, restaurant and swimming pool. The room was very comfortable, clean and silent. Breakfast was quite rich, with amazing croissant, handmade cakes by the chef and very nice view on the lake.

Beautiful 5 star resort on Lake Maggiore. Beautiful views from both balconies. Outstanding staff and management. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommend this resort.

Where to start with this amazing hotel…from arriving and seeing the most magnificent foyer, lovely reception staff who were welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Although a large hotel it has a cosy feel to it, beautiful gardens overlooking the lake, a really lovely bar and separate restaurant. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and it was delicious, again overlooking the lake with a great atmosphere and lovely staff - special thank you to Valentina. Our room suite was just lovely, spotlessly clean on two levels so plenty of space, also the view from the balcony was out of this world. Highly recommend catching a ferry to Isola Bella and looking around the palace and gardens - simply beautiful. Lastly we managed a swim in the lake with direct access from the hotel garden with a mini beach area, although fresh when you first get in it was really great to do! Thank you Grand Hotel Majestic!
