the water temperature of the delicious pool, they allow you to enter until late (10 pm), gym, playground for children, good attention from their staff (for the most part, the waiter in the pool area did not have very good attitude, but he was the only one) the assigned room was a superior standard (first floor, two double beds, partial sea view and view of the Venustiano Carranza lighthouse) the noise from the street and the trucks that pass behind were worrying, but the room It seems to be soundproof as the noise did decrease quite a bit, it didn't disturb our dreams. The only observation that is made to the hotel is the area of the shower and bathroom, both are reduced, the drain of the shower is covered so it was necessary to remove the lid of the strainer since otherwise it would flood and the water leaves the shower area, they forget to leave you a rug or towel for the bathroom floor so it is dangerous. Something similar with the shower and the mixer, it was difficult to regulate the intensity with the temperature of the water (a lot of water came out but hot, and little water but cold) as for the shower it is very old, it lacks maintenance, the jet it provides is irregular, I think they change it to a normal shower where all the jets come out evenly. Reception had to be reminded of the towels for the floor and hands since they did not leave them when they cleaned the room. It seems to me that all the rooms have a balcony, which is great for having a coffee at any time of the day.

Fiesta Inn Veracruz Boca Del Rio

We had a 10 day stay, we checked in but room was not ready since it wasn't 3pm. The young lady at the door told us that they had another resort and if we would like to see it to kill time and there we can eat lunch, so we decided to go. When we get there we are greeted by another person they ask for our information, how much money we make come to find out it was like trying to convince us to buy similar to a timeshare. It was supposed to be 90 minutes came out to be 120 minutes because they kept bringing other people to try to convince us. The first lady was a sweet heart she was just doing her job. We kept saying we where not interested and they kept on trying to convinced us first to pay $50,000 within a 40 year time plus $1999 to maintenance your points then they kept trying to drop the price, we wanted to leave but they said we had to sign some paper to say we refuse the deal or something. But kept bringing other people and trying to make a deal. They finally gave us a paper to sign and gave us some kinda food voucher for our time we didn't take it we just wanted to go to our resort. Now we are tired from our long flight and wasted time with this time share thing. We finally go to our room and it's nothing like the picture. The room looked like a cheap motel room. The room was dirty, there was no lock to the sliding door, so anyone from other rooms can just come in. The sliding glass door was brooking, there was a puddle of water outside the suppose views of the beach. We didn't stayed we checked out and got another place to stay. Worst place ever. Not sure how was that the Junior suite. The front desk girls where very nice at check in. And the bell boy also. But not worth spending your money. They need to be more cautious especially if a person is staying long stay you want the person to feel comfortable not give them a crappy room. You have a dime kinda view of the beach but it seems you re right on the next customers room the balcony is so close you can literally climb to the other balcony.
DoubleTree by Hilton Veracruz

We are an English speaking family of 4 and Veracruz is very Spanish so we were worried that arriving at the hotel at midnight might have been a problem. Well rest assure, it was not!! We were greeted with English-speaking, kind hearted staff members! We ordered room service often, and dined in their restaurants often as well. Great food and friendly staff ALWAYS!! The location was perfect and it had a great beach right in front of the hotel. Just note you must buy an umbrella spot from the local. Lol The rooms were muggy but that is my only complaint. All in all the staff, food, service, and location were spot on!! I highly recommend this hotel if visiting Veracruz, Mexico 🇲🇽 Thank you!
Gran Hotel Diligencias

Located in the heart of Veracruz this hotel provides an excellent setting for exploring a lovely city. The main plaza is across the street so entertainment is easily available. Note that you may not want to face the plaza if you are planning to go to sleep early.
Camino Real Veracruz
4.1/5103 Reviews
We stayed at the Camino Real, May 15 - May 21. 2007. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff attentive -- and quick to deal with any questions or concerns. For example, the TV remote was not working -- the man was at our room and problem solved within ten minutes. Mid week, the hotel was quiet, catering to business travellers, so the pool area was very quiet. Come the weekend, Mexican tourists arrived in big numbers, so there was lots of people and lots of kids at the pool. By Monday, all was quiet again. All the rooms face the pool and the Gulf -- so everyone has a great view from their balcony. It is about a ten to fifteen minute pleasant walk to the beautiful Mall of the Americas -- a large shopping center. Steps from the front door, you can hop a bus to downtown Veracruz for 50 cents -- or a cab from the hotel front door to the Malecon downtown is six dollars. We did not know quite what to expect in Veracruz and area -- it turned out to be a real treat. Be pepared that few speak English and you may be the only non Mexican anywhere around most of the time. To us that was the charm of the place -- a super vacation away from the usual tourist Mexico of Cancun, etc. We would stay again at the Camino without hesitation.
