Motel 6 Ventura, CA - Beach

This Motel 6 hotel had a very reasonable price. It was great because it was close to the beach and surprisingly clean. However, the area around the hotel might feel a bit unsafe. On the plus side, there are convenient fast-food places nearby like Subway, McDonald's, and In-N-Out. I didn't go out at night, but it might be dangerous. Having a car was handy, and the free parking was great. My coworker and I went running near the beach, which was fantastic. The beach was just a five to ten-minute walk away. I want to highlight that the price was really reasonable. If you want to use a hairdryer or iron, you need to leave your ID card with the front desk and retrieve it when you return the item.

Room could use a microwave and a flat iron. Made it an inconvenience to have to go to office to get that and everything else. Other than that small inconvenience I felt my stay overall was awesome. Loved the help, how clean the room was. Wouldn’t mind staying again

It's a typical Motel 6. Nothing fancy, just the basics, but it's cheap, allows dogs and is right there by the beach. There are some shady looking people hanging around and unfortunately the staff tends to treat everyone as if they're criminals.

They allow pets which is always a bonus. Simple and basic which fits my needs and never had any issues while staying here.

Good worth for the price

I did not like the fact that they did not have a disability room available and wanted me to park and walk an extensive distance to get to my room. They were very unprofessional in their delivery of messages stating you must wait we are at shift change. Not a location I'd return or recommend others to stay.

We made a late in the day reservation. I called right away to request a downstairs room. And they said ok. And they made sure we had a nice downstairs room. Great staff and very Friendly, Mark W

The motel is in a great location. The room was clean. It was quiet and I felt comfortable. Only though is the heater or air conditioner didn't work. The only thing it did was now out cold air. I was there during a storm. No heat in the room while it rained all night, really was cold. They gave me two extra blankets after finding out that changing my room wouldn't fix the problem because two other rooms had the same issue. The extra blankets helped me sleep warm but didn't help when it was time to get out of the bed and ready for my family day.
