Lovely hotel you would expect to find in Ventnor. Old school, great service and very comfortable rooms and beds. Room was a very good size with a great view. The gardens are quite something as well. Unusual and surprising but well worth a look.

A great place to stay, on arrival we were met on the drive by the owner, David, who accompanied us to our room, we were given a room at the front which has sea views. The room was warm, homely and a good size, tea and coffee making facilities, the en-suite was enormous. The 'Full House breakfast' was generous and tasty, as was the porridge. Fruit, cereals, juice etc were available. Comfortable bed. When we need to visit Ventnor again we would definitely book St Maur!

Upon arrival we were welcomed by the owner David. Upgraded to a larger room in this very quaint B&B. Spotlessly clean we had a great view of the sea and a comfortable bed. The room was stocked with everything you would expect and a great shower. Breakfast was excellent with nothing being too much “just ask” Nothing is to far on the I.O.W. and ate on our first night at Masala Bay, again a great experience. The donkey sanctuary and Osborne house completed our short break to the Island with St Maur B&B in Ventnor being the jewel. Absolutely recommended

We loved our short stay here. The staff, without exception, were effective and welcoming, and it was a delight to meet David and sense his pride in the island, the town and this hotel, owned by his family for more than 50 years. The rooms are all immaculate, and outside the Mediterranean gardens are impressive (extending even to home grown lemons) When we started to plan our trip.we had no particular intention to come to Ventnor, let alone the St Maur, but we didn’t regret our choice

A lovely hotel with great staff. We stayed 3 nights, were upgraded to a large bedroom at the top of the house with gorgeous views. Breakfasts were absolutely brilliant and Owner/ staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel is situated near the Botanical gardens and coastal path which are both reccomended. Also gave us trade discount on ferry tickets. Restaurants etc a short if steep distance away if walking. Would absolutely return for future stay.

The accommodation was outstanding. David, the proprietor, and his staff were all very welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The cleanliness of the guest house was superb and our room was absolutely beautiful. The room was cleaned and ready every day by the time we returned from breakfast. Special thanks to Lisa and Tracey too, who really looked after us. We cannot speak highly enough of this beautiful location and will definitely be returning. Thank you David and staff for making our stay perfect.

We spent 4 nights here at the beginning of August & enjoyed our stay at this lovely guest house. It was a perfect location for us to explore the island. We were greeted by the friendly owner, David, who kindly carried our bags up two flights of stairs as we were in room 7 on the top floor. Our twin bed room was spacious & clean & we had a lovely large bathroom with separate shower. Shower gel & shampoo were provided but take your own conditioner & body lotion. Our beds were comfortable if a little small (2x 3/4 beds would have been better) & we had lovely views of the garden, sea & park from our Juliette balcony & the side window also. There was a fridge in our room with a small bottle of fresh milk & a kettle with plenty of tea, coffee & biscuits provided. We managed to find a parking space on the small car park each day & although we didn't partake in any drinks from the "Honesty Bar" during our stay, it did look well stocked. The one thing we found odd was that breakfast was only served between 830 am - 915 am, so not even a full hour. Not everyone wants to eat breakfast early & this short time allowance we felt was restrictive. That said, the cooked breakfasts were very good & freshly prepared, & there was plenty of choice. Nothing was too much trouble for them and Gina, our waitress, was pleasant & fun.
